Why doesn't Beilun develop small ports?

Reasons why Beilun does not develop small ports;

1. Geographical conditions: Beilun is located on the northeast coast of Ningbo and has good natural harbor conditions, such as Meishan Bay and Zhenhai Bay. These natural deep-water ports provide convenience for the development of Beilun Grand Port and can meet the berthing and loading and unloading requirements of large ships. In contrast, small ports are often limited in size and water depth, and are not enough to carry large ships and a large number of goods.

2. Economic demand: As an important part of Ningbo Port, Beilun Port is one of the important export ports in China. Its scale and facilities have developed quite well, which can meet the needs of local and surrounding areas for trade and logistics. So the development of small ports is not necessarily the focus of current economic development.
