Main attractions of Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park has nearly 500 kilometers of trails, which is one of the favorite places for hikers and backpackers. One of the best hiking areas is Wild Basin, which is located in the southeast of the park, near barrington Park City, and just north of the famous Indian Mountain Wilderness. In the wild basin, the routes people often take can lead to Leihu Lake, Anxue Lake and Bluebird Lake.
You can reach the windy lake along the Boulder-Grande Passage (3.68km), which is rarely crossed by people above Lake Reddy and will not thaw here for most of July. Pedestrians traveling in these mountainous areas often see Rocky Mountain Horn sheep, elk, long-eared deer, goats, vultures and grouse. Further north, in the Glacier Canyon, pedestrians can enjoy beautiful scenery, such as Harley Peak, Matterhorn Peak and Lake Odessa. All these trails started in lake bell, which is also the favorite place for cross-country skiers and snowshoe lovers in winter. You can walk along this road from Bell Lake to the moraine park.
Another place that people often visit-some people call it the center of the park-is Trailrich Road, which spans 32 kilometers of permafrost along the continental divide. When the weather is clear, you can see Wyoming facing north on this road.
Because Rocky Mountain National Park is so charming everywhere, it's hard to point out a few places that must be photographed. Here are some recommended locations:
Lance Peak: This peak is flat-topped, with an altitude of 4,428 meters, which can be seen almost anywhere in the park. You must leave early for Longs Peak, because the weather often turns from cloudy to short thunderstorm in the afternoon.
Hu Meng: 1932, this beautiful lake was built after 90 stumps were blown up and the bottom of the lake was cleaned by tractors. The lake was destroyed by floods on1winter solstice in 937 1938, and was rebuilt on 1939.
Trail Ridge Road: Trail Ridge Road allows visitors to see the Rocky Mountains from all directions. This highway is18km above the forest line, with the highest elevation of 3713m.
Yanghu: Do you want to take some pictures of wild animals? From May to mid-August, bighorn sheep can be seen everywhere in Yanghu.
The Fall River flows down the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains near Aspellen camp. There are all kinds of fish living in the streams on the park hill, including the endangered green-backed mountain trout and imported species, such as rainbow trout and brook trout.
Climbing Mount Reims at an altitude of 4,345 meters has steep walls and a flat top. You can see the Frant Mountains in the Colorado Rockies 65,438+060 kilometers away. Lance Peak, like Parks Peak in the south, constitutes one of the landmark peaks of this mountain range and one of the most distinctive mountains in the United States.
Follow some of the most difficult routes in North America to the east of the peak, which is a 90-degree cliff with a height of more than 2,500 feet (762 meters). There are also some hiking routes to the top.
The most popular of these trails is the keyhole route, which starts from the Rance Peak Forest Management Office. This 13 km long route rises nearly 1524 m and its height is nearly 1600 m. This road first passes through a foxtail pine, and then through a boulder field above the tree line. From here, the really difficult journey begins.
In order to climb keyhole canyon, the walkers had to cross a rocky field, then climb the steep granite cliff in Homstridge, and finally reach the summit. The top of the mountain is very flat. On a sunny day, from here, the peaks and distant mountains of Rocky Mountain Park look endless.
Among all national parks, the highest average elevation is Rocky Mountain National Park located in the great watershed. The Great Divide divides the United States in two. The water on the east side of the watershed flows into the Atlantic Ocean, and the water on the west side finally flows into the Pacific Ocean.
Most parks are located above the tree line. In this section of the Rocky Mountain, the height of the tree line is about 3500 meters. Trail Ridge Road in the park is the highlight of the park and the highest paved road in the United States.
In many ways, the forest line that can be clearly seen during this extremely fast-changing driving process is a front between creatures. Below the tree line, Abies fargesii, Picea koraiensis and Picea koraiensis in the subalpine zone are root to root, competing for living space.
In higher places, the worse environment is a challenge for most plants. During the short growing season, these plants are vulnerable to continuous wind. In this harsh environment, only the lovely lawn is covered with green grass, and the flowers dotted in it grow close to the ground to protect themselves.
