Where does Beijing Yang Sha come from?
Yang Sha is from Inner Mongolia Plateau.
The elevation of Beijing Plain is only about 50 meters. This "downhill" terrain, coupled with the "narrow tube effect" of the river valley, can easily make the dust from the Inner Mongolia Plateau come to Beijing along the tuyere, thus forming sand-blowing weather in Beijing.
As a sandstorm disaster, sand blowing does not happen in all windy places, but only in those areas with dry climate and sparse vegetation. Sand blowing mostly occurs in April-May every year. Mainly distributed in the western and northern regions, Inner Mongolia, Tibet and Xinjiang are the most serious.
