When is the best time to water the flowers?

To determine the watering amount of potted flowers, on the one hand, we should consider the ecological habits of each flower, on the other hand, we should also consider the composition of cultivated soil, weather conditions, plant size, growth and development stage, flower pot size, placement position and other factors, and then determine the watering times and watering amount after comprehensive consideration.

Under normal circumstances: wet flowers should be watered more, and dry flowers should be watered less; Herbaceous flowers should be watered more, and woody flowers should be watered less; Drink more water in hot days and less water in cold days; Water more in dry days and less in cloudy days; The leaves are large, soft, smooth, hairless, small, with waxy layer, fluff and leather. Water more in the vigorous growth period and less in the dormant period; Large pots and small pots should be watered more, while small pots should be watered less.

The annual water supply is roughly as follows: after the ground temperature rises gradually every spring, flowers gradually enter the peak of growth period, and the watering amount should be gradually increased. Spring watering should be carried out before noon; Summer temperature is high, flowers grow vigorously, transpiration is strong, watering should be sufficient, and watering time should be appropriate in the morning and evening; After beginning of autumn, the temperature drops and flowers grow slowly, so water should be less appropriately; In winter, the temperature is low, and many kinds of flowers enter dormancy or semi-dormancy, so it is necessary to control watering. If the soil in the basin is not too dry, do not water it. Otherwise, it is most likely that the roots will rot and the leaves will fall, which will affect the growth and development in the coming year. Watering in winter should be carried out at 1 ~ 2 pm.
