Meet at the eighth stop of Huangshan—Pingxiang Wugong Mountain
Meet at the eighth stop of Huangshan - Pingxiang Wugong Mountain
Sichuan is mountainous and beautiful, so we rarely pay attention to mountains outside Sichuan unless they are very famous.
There is a martial arts mountain in the Huangshan itinerary. This is the first time I know the name of this mountain. I looked it up and found that it is in Pingxiang, Jiangxi. Yes, I caught a train in Pingxiang. It is very close to my children’s home. It was more than 2 hours' drive away. My in-laws found out and asked me to leave the group and go to their home. However, I should go hiking first when traveling with the group and wait until the next time the children come home.
Wugong Mountain is the last mountain we will climb on this trip. The team leader said that it is too easy compared with Huangshan Mountain, and the route is single. There are not as many forked roads as Huangshan Mountain. You can get off the cable car and go up the mountain, and then take the cable car down the mountain. That's it. Everyone can climb slowly and leisurely. Upon hearing this, everyone felt particularly relaxed.
We, the "Ten Warriors of Huangshan", met again (of course other team members joined the challenge), abandoned the upper section of the ropeway, and chose to hike directly up the mountain and down the mountain again.
As soon as we set off, we took a group photo at the entrance of Wugong Mountain Scenic Area and prepared to climb together. However, Yanzi, Feifeiyu and I felt a little relaxed and thought that since we had plenty of time, we should slow down and climb slowly. As a result, skating Brother Zhou and the other team members in front of us pushed us further and further away. At first, they stopped and waited for us. When they saw that we were too slow, they climbed the mountain at their own pace. From then on, we never caught up with the team. When we reached the top of Wugong Mountain, we saw that they had climbed to a farther and higher mountain ahead. We wanted to rush over, but the distance was too far, so we gave up. Teacher Liu, Pingguo and I looked at the sea of ??clouds and took some photos on the top of the mountain. Then I met up with Ye Zi and the others who were riding the secondary ropeway, posed for various photos on the top of Wugong Mountain, and took photos together, and then we went down the mountain together on another trail. The whole trip was still very challenging, not as easy as the team leader said, but it was indeed much less difficult than climbing Mount Huangshan.
Our luck in climbing Wugong Mountain this time was not as good as climbing Huangshan. It rained and fogged all day long. We can really say that we climbed Wugong Mountain in the rain and looked at Wugong Mountain in the fog. I just remember that the plants along the way were tender green, the pink azaleas were in full bloom, and the mountain roads were rugged, sometimes steep and sometimes slow, and most of them were steep. As we walked up the road, we could only see the nearby mountain roads and plants. The area 5 meters away was almost completely shrouded in rain and fog. We couldn’t see what it looked like and what scenes there were down the mountain.
My impression of Wugong Mountain is that the twists and turns of the mountain roads are very beautiful, especially when approaching the top of the mountain, the artificial plank roads winding on the vast green grass slopes are particularly eye-catching and beautiful. . Once on the top of the mountain, in the hazy fog, you can still see the beauty of these artificial plank roads. Of course, there are also the colorful tents, which have become the most beautiful embellishment of Wugong Mountain in the fog.
This time, we really saw the clouds and mist of Wugong Mountain. Because the mountain is so tall, the sea of ??clouds under the mountain is extremely spectacular. Except for the top of the mountain, everything else is submerged in the vast clouds and mist, which extends far away. But the clouds and mist can be walked on. A thin layer of mist spreads up the hillside, getting thicker and thicker, and continues to reach the top of the mountain. Only the top of the mountain is exposed. After a while, the top of the mountain is gone, and the top of the mountain is completely covered by clouds and mist. Looking again, the clouds and mist on the hillside have faded and gradually disappeared, revealing the green grass all over the slope, with soft curves, very much like a grassland hillside. Not long after, the clouds and fog on the top of the mountain dispersed again and gradually disappeared, and the top of the mountain and the ridge returned to their original appearance.
The clouds and fog on the mountain changed so fast that I almost didn’t realize it. The pictures taken in the same place showed completely different scenes. Unfortunately, the pictures taken in the rainy and foggy weather had no clarity and were all blurry. The hazy beauty.
In short, in the rain and fog, I didn’t recognize the true face of Wugong Mountain at all!
We climbed up the ridge to take pictures of the sea of ??clouds. When we looked to the west, we saw the milky white sea of ??clouds, and the view was extremely vast. We climbed to the top of Wugong Mountain and took a group photo next to the sign stone. The visibility was only a few meters, except for that area. Sign stone, no other background. But what’s interesting is that the word “Golden Summit” is written on the back of this landmark stone, which is exactly the same as the “Golden Summit” of Mount Emei. However, the Golden Summit of Mount Emei is spectacular and resplendent. This Golden Summit of Wugong Mountain There is no comparison, almost no comparison. Walking around the top of the mountain, I found that there is a temple for praying for heirs on the top of the mountain. For my grandson, I went to pay homage devoutly. I passed by the colorful tent hotel and thought that such a hotel is quite interesting. Living there is probably more romantic than comfortable, and it’s so convenient to watch the stars at night!
On the way down the mountain, we took another trail, which is a gently sloping meadow with endless grass on both sides. It might look particularly spectacular and beautiful on a sunny day, right? The fog was getting thicker and thicker. Even with an umbrella (it wasn't raining), our clothes and hair were almost all wet. There were small water droplets on the tips of our hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes. I looked at my companion and said her hair was wet. She looked at me and said that my hair was also wet, and we couldn't help laughing and talking about each other!
There is a glass trestle in the middle of the mountain. Because of the heavy fog, I can only see the glass surface nearby. The surrounding fog is so foggy that I can’t see anything. It doesn’t feel dangerous at all, but it is a bit slippery. I wear non-slip shoes ( Provided by the management office) I almost fell down.
It was easy to go down the mountain. We quickly arrived at the cable car. After going down the mountain and leaving the scenic area, we looked back at Wugong Mountain. We saw that the mountains were shrouded in clouds and mist, which was very similar to the mountain scenery in Ya'an, Sichuan. However, Ya'an is also like this on a sunny day, with mountain fog. As beautiful as a fairyland.
After visiting Wugong Mountain, I really still don’t understand Wugong Mountain. After searching online, I found out that the famous Xu Xiake once hiked in Wugong Mountain for 10 days and left a lot of words. ’s travel diary. I am so lucky to encounter this mountain unexpectedly!
However, visiting Wugong Mountain left me with a lot of regrets due to the weather. I may have a chance to come again, but other companions may not.
I think that Wugong Mountain will have different beauty in spring, summer, autumn and winter. Even on sunny days or rainy days, the scene will be very different. Therefore, whether it is snowy in winter, cold in spring, or cool in summer or cool in autumn, , are all worth a visit!
I hope that when I come back, I can enjoy its alpine meadows, spectacular sea of ??clouds, and vast starry sky!
After checking the information, the highest peak of Wugong Mountain is Baihe Peak, which is Golden Summit (1918.3 meters); the second highest peak of Wugong Mountain is Xianglu Peak (Daji Peak). Among them, the main peak of Sheep Lion Mu is Tianzi Peak ( 1674 meters) The main peak of Mingyue Mountain: Taiping Mountain (1735.6 meters). Such a height is really nothing compared to the heights of two to three thousand, three to four to five thousand meters in Sichuan. But just like a slogan on the way to Wugong Mountain: "Thank you for turning your own path into the scenery in the eyes of others." It's so well said, as long as you are willing to walk, everything can become the scenery, including yourself!
