Poems describing Dongting Lake

Prime Minister Zhang Zailin Dongting

[Meng Haoran]

The autumn water rises and almost blends with the shore, mixing water and sky with the sky.

Ozawa's water vapor transpiration on the cloud soil is white, and the waves seem to shake the whole Yueyang.

I'm going to cross the water to find a boat and paddle. It's a shame to return home in the sacred age.

Sitting around watching other people's hard river fishing can only envy the fish caught in the fish.

Water and sky are the same, and the blue sky and clear lake water blend together. (4) steaming: refers to the transpiration and diffusion of water vapor on the lake. Yun Mengze: The name of Shui Ze used to be Erzeshun on the north bank of Dongting Lake in ancient times, but now it is in the area of two lakes. (9) The feeling of fish: Metaphorically, you have the desire to be an official. That means I want to be quoted by Zhang Jiuling. "Huainanzi said Xun Lin": "The garden is a fairy house, if you don't go home and weave a net." Biography of Han Dong's Zhongshu; "The ancients said that it is better to retreat and form a net than to fish in the forest."

[brief comment]

This is the author's cold reception in Chang 'an, and when he returned to Xiangyang and visited Dongting in the south, he couldn't help but arouse his ambition of seeking an official, so he wrote this poem and recommended it to Zhang Jiuling. Therefore, this is a poem full of metaphors. In the Tang dynasty, this became a necessary means for ordinary intellectuals to be officials, and Meng Haoran also did it for this purpose. The first four sentences of the poem are magnificent and colorful, reflecting the vibrant atmosphere of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and paving the way for the metaphor of "no door to seek an official" in the second half of the poem. Seen from the vast Dongting Lake in front of us, it is the most wonderful part of the whole poem, especially the second couplet, which is vigorous and thrilling. In Dongting Lake in August, the water level keeps rising, almost equal to the shore; The sky is full of water, one integrated mass. The steaming clouds on the lake covered the whole cloud dream; Boundless waves, surging, the majestic Yueyang city also shook, what kind of momentum and strength this is. The last four sentences take the scene as the background, expressing their disappointment that they wanted to cross the river, but they couldn't find a boat. Because my official career is not for personal gain, but I think it is shameful to live in seclusion in this peaceful era, and I really want to make a difference, so I said, "How shameful I am to be more idle than you politicians." At the end of the poem, it shows that although I am eager to get an official position, I can't "fish" and make a career like an angler, so I deeply feel the anguish and hesitation of "being a fisherman". It means that I hope to be appreciated and quoted by Zhang Jiuling, so that I can make contributions to the country and not die of old age. This is an active idea of seeking the world. William quoted allusions to further express his faint bitterness that he could not display his talents because he did not have an official position, and then expressed his desire to seek an official position. The whole poem is magnificent and ingenious. Although there is a dry meaning, it is well written, the wording is neither humble nor cold, the meaning is subtle and euphemistic, the scene is muddy and the mood is high.

Crossing Nanyue into Dongting Lake

Year: Tang Author: Du Fu Style: Five Elements

Hongbo suddenly argued for the road, and the other side turned to different rivers and lakes. There are clouds and trees in Ezhu, and mountains and plumpness in Hengshan.

Cui Ya wears oars and Bijie wears cold pu. Where you are thirsty, there is less vitality in spring.

Rain and snow turn over the soil, and the fishing roof truss is muddy. The sail is full, and the bottom comes out.

The dragon returned to Chibi, vast and slightly pale. Di Zi left resentment, and Zuo Zongtang condescended to strength.

The holy day shines on the emperor, and the remnants are dangerous. Only talented women can be raised with their peers, and famous people can forge blacksmiths.

Shao Pingyuan went to Han, and Han Zhang went to Wu. Don't blame the wailing, the danger is chasing the night.
