Prose of San Diego, a seaside mountain city

San Diego is a tourist city with mountains and seas, located in the southwest of California, near the Pacific Ocean. It's about 370 miles from Phoenix where my daughter lives. When the second daughter also came to America, the eldest daughter decided to take a trip to San Diego with her family of four. Although the eldest daughter has been there, she didn't go by bus. The road is not close, the road is unfamiliar, and the difficulty is not small. To this end, I bought a map two days before departure to study the route. One Saturday morning, I went on my way after breakfast. The eldest daughter is driving the car and the second daughter is watching the road. My wife and I sat in the back row, both happy and worried about the bold actions of our two daughters. Fortunately, there aren't many cars in expressway, but you need to turn left and right several times to get on the right road. Some roads need to be bypassed. Finally, I found the right road, which is Highway 8. According to the map, follow this road to the west and reach San Diego. After finding the right road, the car went forward at a speed of 80 miles per hour. After driving for more than three hours, we came to a small town called Yuma, where we had lunch, had a rest, and then hit the road again. Leaving Yuma, the eldest daughter said, "California is ahead, and it takes more than three hours by car." At this time, the road is wider. After driving for a while, the car entered the desert. When I got off the bus, I saw the continuous sand dunes on both sides of the road. There are also many tourists here to see the scenery. We're here to take pictures as a souvenir. Leaving the dunes, we continued on our way. After driving for a while, I saw an instant dark cloud pressing up in the sky. Then suddenly there was a strong wind and sandstorm. The road ahead is foggy and the visibility is very low. I reminded my daughter to turn on the light and drive slowly. After a while, the sandstorm area passed. The car is driving at 80 miles an hour again. But it didn't take long, and I entered Panshan Road in the mountainous area. Cars have been climbing up the mountain, and some places are three or four thousands of feet above sea level. The car not only climbs high, but also walks left and right. This is really a test for the eldest daughter. Just then, it began to rain in Mao Mao. Make its roads slippery. My wife and I have been reminding our eldest daughter to drive slowly to ensure safety. In this way, after seven or eight hours' journey, the car finally arrived in San Diego and merged into a hotel called mr goodnight.

This is a two-star hotel, although the grade is not high, but it is fully equipped. One bedroom has two double beds. Enough for us to stay. Put down the luggage, the eldest daughter lies in bed to rest, and the second daughter looks at the map. My wife and I are very interested in this. I walked out of the hotel and went out for a walk. It turns out that there are mountains everywhere, and houses and roads are built around them. Just like Chongqing and Qingdao in China. Behind the hotel is a expressway with heavy traffic. There are green spaces everywhere in the hotel, and there is a big swimming pool. Back at the hotel, the eldest daughter said, "Let's go to the seaside to watch the sunset. Now is a good time. " So my family got on the bus and started our first trip to San Diego. The car passed through the city and soon came to the seaside. Many cars have been parked here. Are waiting for the sunset. We got off the bus, stood on the beach and looked west. Only the sky is level, the water is level with the sky, and seagulls are soaring. Someone is surfing where the waves are splashing. At this time, the sun is setting, and a red sun is about to fall into the sea with the sky and the sea. The sunset glow is so tempting. We couldn't help taking out our cameras and taking pictures of this wonderful moment. As the saying goes, there is no wind and three feet of waves at sea. The splashing waves beat the rocks on the shore from time to time, making a "bang". At this time, my mind was full of ideas and I said to my wife, "See! This is the east coast of the Pacific Ocean, and the west coast of the Pacific Ocean is our China. That's where our loved ones are. " A feeling of homesickness arises spontaneously. The sun finally fell into the sea, leaving a golden sunset.

Leaving the seaside, I decided to go downtown to see the night view of San Diego. By the way, we had dinner together. On the way, we enjoyed the night view of San Diego in the car. The villa built on the hill is very beautiful. Many roads between mountains and between mountains and water are connected by overpasses and elevated roads, and the mountains and bridges are brightly lit everywhere. The endless stream of cars stretches for miles like a flowing torch. After about 20 minutes' drive, I only saw tall buildings and forests. The eldest daughter said: this is the old city, not the city center. There are shops one after another everywhere in the high buildings and on both sides of the road. Save the car first. Because it is downtown, the parking fee is very expensive, eight dollars a night. Park the car, we are ready to eat. There are many restaurants here, one next to the other. First of all, we came to a Thai restaurant, which was full, and we had to wait fifteen minutes to come back. So we found other restaurants. At this time, a tricycle appeared in front of the road. I quickly said to them, "Look, there are people riding tricycles!" " "Pointing at the tricycle, the one pedaling the tricycle is a black man. He thought I was going to take a tricycle, so he turned around and I quickly waved my hand to show that I wouldn't take it. Not far away, I saw a carriage and a white horse pulling a cart with tourists sitting on it. Maybe this is the symbol of a tourist city! Of course, I have met some poor people here, a well-dressed man with a headscarf and a beard, rummaging through the trash can, picking up a drink cup, looking at it and putting it down. On the edge of a tall building, a man is playing guitar, and there is a paper box on the ground, which contains banknotes and coins given by others. What I saw on TV and movies in the past is reproduced here today. We finally sat down in a restaurant in Mexico. Mexicans are famous for making all kinds of cakes. After dinner at one o'clock, we saw a man wearing a suit and tie and holding a guitar. He went to a table and motioned to play the piano and sing for him, but he was kicked away by the waiter before he started. When we eat in this restaurant, we first served a plate of crispy rice and four kinds of sauces, which we can dip in. This is a gift, you can have it after eating, and then you sent two bowls of soup. The last four kinds of cakes are filled with stuffing, each kind of stuffing is different, and they are all rolled into cakes. The meal cost more than forty dollars. Look at the street view after dinner. It turns out that there are many restaurants here, and some of them have occupied some sidewalks. In order to keep warm, a heating stove stands on the sidewalk, emitting hot air from time to time. In front of a shop, a man and a woman walked together. The woman is wearing a purple coat and the man is wearing a blue coat. They all have shoulder-length hair and look like sisters from the back. You said it was cold! A girl who can eat at the opposite table is wearing a small vest. What a contrast this will be. Maybe this is America! We returned to the hotel after ten o'clock in the evening.

The next day, we started our second trip to San Diego. Visit Ocean Park. It may be Sunday! Many people come here. This ocean park is near the sea. Except for all kinds of flowers, trees and landscapes, there are characteristics of the sea everywhere. That delightful seagull flies to your side and can't be blown away. Various kinds of fish and animals are displayed in various exhibition halls. We first took a simulated helicopter to the North Pole to see polar bears. Swing up and down in the plane. Many people made frightened sounds. My wife and I are fine. Everything is fine out of the simulated plane. Then we went to see an animal show. The performances of whales, dolphins and seals were wonderful. They can do many actions under the guidance of the coach. You can signal the audience, you can lift the trainer from the water to swim, sometimes you can lift the trainer very high from the water, and you can jump over a very high rope. Every time they finish an action training, the staff will give them fish to eat. Some people shake their heads at a small fish to show their dissatisfaction. Throwing fish into their mouths is better than feeding them, because their mouths are big and accurate. I walked out of Ocean Park after two o'clock in the afternoon.

We came to the trestle by the sea. This trestle extends about 200 meters into the sea. The waves are rolling under the bridge and many people are surfing there. They dare to challenge the spirit of the waves and attract us to stop and watch for a long time. Walking down the trestle, we went to the seaside and had lunch in the wild. We spread the blanket on the beach first, then took out the bread and canned food, ate and talked, and enjoyed the seaside scenery and the endless stream of tourists. After lunch, we came to an island, which is a rich residential area. There are all kinds of villas, houses, flowers and trees, just like a big garden. Finally, I came to a hotel with unique architecture, climbed the stairs and entered the lobby. Many people were checking in. Looking around this hotel, although the building is not very modern, the lighting is dim and the elevator is still old-fashioned, but all kinds of tables and chairs are antique. It is reported that this hotel was built in 1888 and has a history of 100 years. Many famous people used to live here. This hotel is not only ancient, but also faces the sea, and the whole building is behind the sea. So we took some photos here as beautiful souvenirs.

Out of the hotel, it was time for the lights to turn on, and we hurried back to the hotel. Because the next day we will leave San Diego and return to Phoenix.
