Weather in Yongshun County, Xiangxi

Guzhang County is located in the east of central Hunan, with an area of 1.286 square kilometers. In Hunan, many people say it is the smallest county in the province. Anyway, it is one of the smallest counties in Hunan for the time being. The population of the county is about 1.4 million, of which ethnic minorities account for 76.9%. The environment of the county is very beautiful, and the forest coverage rate is over 80%. This is really a "nature".

Red stone forest

Red Stone Forest, 26 kilometers away from the county seat, is a magical land. The surface of the stone is covered with a fine layer of wrinkles, just like a coral reef. What's more amazing is that it will change color with the change of external weather and temperature.

Gaowang steet

Gaowang Street, located in the northeast of the county seat, is a nature reserve with an area of 17 169.8 hectares. It is a natural "gene bank of animals and plants", with more than 20 major scenic spots such as Tang Ding Range Rover, Jinlongxi, Daxi, Heikongxi, Gezhuxi and Maxi.

Zuolongxia

Zuolongxia, which is separated from Wangcun in furong town by water, is about 3,500 meters long with a maximum drop of more than 300 meters. This is a comfortable place with vertical cliffs, horizontal waterfalls and sloping cliffs. It has been living in seclusion among hundreds of thousands of mountains in western Hunan.

Miao village in Mo Rong

Murong Miao Village is located at the junction of Jishou, Guzhang and Baojing counties (cities), 20 kilometers away from Jishou, the state capital, and 22 kilometers away from Guzhang County. This is the hometown of Miao Flower Drum, which has a strong Miao customs. The main scenic spots are Gate, Fengyu Bridge, Dalinlou, Wunuotang, Sifang Miao Drum and many other Miao cultures and arts.

Hibiscus Town

In furong town, many older people have seen the movie furong town starring Liu Xiaoqing and Jiang Wen. Formerly called Wangcun, it has a history of more than 2,000 years. Because the film was renamed "furong town" after the fire, it was also called "the Millennium Ancient Town Hanging on the Waterfall".

Furong town is not in the territory of Guzhang, but in Yongshun County, separated by several mountains, but it is too close to Guzhang. You can really experience this ancient town when you have time.

In addition, Guzhang Maojian tea has a long history, which began in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and 1982 was selected as one of the top ten famous teas in China. As the saying goes, "Black Dragon Pool on Nanwan Lake has beautiful mountains and clear waters; Longtan Jiquan cooks spring tea, and a pot of Maojian disappears. " Guzhang also has a traditional food of wormwood cake (wild vegetable cake) from Tomb-Sweeping Day, a minority nationality in western Hunan, and a dish of glutinous rice fish with Chinese sauerkraut that Miao Village often eats.

The above five scenic spots (including furong town) are really worth visiting. Guzhang is a small town hidden deep in the mountains of western Hunan. It can be said that it is the smallest county in Xiangxi and even Hunan. People here wake up in the morning, hardworking and simple, and have no struggle with the world. Natural gifts are scattered all over this land. It's beautiful and quiet.

On February 29th, 2020, the Hunan Provincial People's Government agreed that Guzhang County would withdraw from poverty-stricken counties.
