How does a kite fly into the sky?
There is an angle between the kite surface and the airflow direction called the angle of attack or the angle of attack. The air flow is divided into two parts: the upper part of the kite and the lower part of the kite. The lower part is called downwash airflow, and these two parts of air exert force on the kite. Due to the existence of attack angle and the superposition of airflow velocity, the momentum component of air molecules perpendicular to the lower surface in downwash airflow is greater than that of air molecules perpendicular to the upper surface in the airflow above the kite. The result of the collision between air molecules and kites is that the two forces are not equal. If the angle of attack and airflow speed are appropriate, the vertical upward component of the force below the kite is greater than the vertical downward component of the force above, and the kite can fly after being combined to counteract gravity.
Provide the kite with sufficient airflow speed (faster running) during the flight phase, and pay attention to choosing the appropriate angle of attack, which should not be too small (insufficient lift) or too large (otherwise it will cause a phenomenon similar to the sudden drop of aircraft stall lift).
