Laoguan Town is located in the northeast of Langzhong City, 45 kilometers away from the urban area, bordering Bazhong in the east, Langzhong, Yilong and Nanchong in the south, Cangxi in the west and Wangcang and Guangyuan in the north. The whole town has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committees, 199 cooperatives and 5 residents' groups, with a total population of 306 10 and an urban population of more than 4,700, covering an area of 66.7 square kilometers. 1 town, 2 market towns, and Laoguanchang radiates around 10. In July 2003, it was approved as a famous historical and cultural town in Sichuan Province, and on September 16, 2005, it was named as "a famous historical and cultural town in China" by the Ministry of Construction and National Cultural Heritage Administration.

Guo Feng rice was named after it was produced in Laoguan mountain area (ancient Guo Feng county) in Langzhong city. The area has beautiful scenery and good ecological conditions. The rice bred by the unique natural environment has been a tribute to the courts of past dynasties for its large grain size, fullness, good color and delicious taste, and has a history of more than 2,000 years. After liberation, it has been exported to Europe, America and Southeast Asia. In recent years, it has won many awards, such as Gold Award of West Expo, Nanchong Famous Brand, People's Food, Sichuan Pollution-free Agricultural Products and so on. These products are in short supply.
