Today, we will talk about an ancient post road at the junction of Guangdong and Jiangxi Province, which has been said for 1300 years. Zhang Jiuling has opened a road here. It only took more than two months to open a 15km long highway, which has also become a golden channel connecting the Yangtze River and the Pearl River. This is the ancient Meiguan Road.

Meiguan Ancient Road is located at the junction of Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province and Dayu County, Jiangxi Province, 20 kilometers away from Nanxiong City and only 10 kilometers away from Dayu County. Why is it called Meiguan Ancient Road? There are two kinds of sayings here, one is named after a leader of the Vietnamese people who moved south, and the other is named because there are many plum blossoms on the surrounding mountains.

Meiling Ancient Road is known as the first pass in Lingnan and the best preserved ancient post road in China. The ground of the whole ancient post road is paved with pebbles, surrounded by bushes, and here are lush trees and mountains. Now it has been developed into a scenic spot, and because of its wide vegetation coverage and quite low temperature, it can be said that it is a summer resort that must come in summer.

Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province, has been a traffic artery where the north and the south meet since ancient times, especially when there were many ancient wars. It is also a battleground for military strategists. Between Guangdong and Jiangxi province, it is more like a city gate, separating the two provinces and cities. Nowadays, there are no vendors on the Meiguan Ancient Road, and some tourists from all over the country come here to serve you in another way. Winter here is especially beautiful, especially when plum blossoms are in full bloom in winter.

The mountain road here was originally prepared for trade, so it was developed gently, but it is quite difficult to walk here because it is paved with pebbles. We walked up, and the plum blossoms around us seemed to be waving to us.
