What is the cause of cold heatstroke?

Heatstroke is caused by the failure of the temperature regulation system in the body, and the body temperature may rise to a dangerous value. Symptoms may be similar to heatstroke failure, such as dizziness and nausea. In addition, patients may become confused and even anxious. When the body stops regulating body temperature, heatstroke patients often stop sweating. But it's not all like this. Syncope may or may not be a sign of heatstroke. If you wake up after 2 to 5 minutes, it may be heatstroke.

When heatstroke occurs, you should be sent to the hospital as soon as possible to avoid complications such as shock and renal failure. However, before being sent to the hospital, some first aid treatment is still needed. Here is the first-aid method before closing the doctor.

More than a dozen measures and treatments to avoid heatstroke;

1. Wear a hat: It's best to choose a hat that is breathable and can cover your neck, because the top of your head is particularly sensitive to temperature changes. When you have to do outdoor activities, you'd better do it in the morning and at dusk. Some people must be careful when they return to the sun after a few hours' rest.

2. Drink plenty of water: water is still the best drink for dehydrated people. Don't drink like a cow, you should drink a little at a time. Eat more fruits and vegetables, rich in water and balanced in salt.

3. Don't smoke and drink: Smoking will constrict blood vessels and damage smokers' ability to adapt to high temperature. Drinking too much will accelerate the collapse. Caffeine will also accelerate the collapse.

4. Slowly adapt to the change of temperature: At the beginning of the season, spend a little time outdoors every day to hurt your body and let your body gradually adapt to the change of temperature. Instead of working in an air-conditioned room all week, I don't shy away from the burning sunshine on weekends.

5. Slow down: When the weather is very hot, no matter what activities you are engaged in outdoors, you should slow down.

6. Wear cotton and light-colored clothes: cotton clothes are more breathable, and light-colored clothes can reflect sunlight. The combination of the two will not cause hyperthermia.

7. Replenish water: If patients are still conscious, they should be provided with drinks, and water is the best choice.

8. Cooling treatment: pour water on the patient instead of soaking him in cold water. Water splashed on the skin will evaporate quickly, thus improving the cooling efficiency. Or wet compress the patient with a cold towel, and if possible, move the patient to a place with air conditioning.

9. Standing summer medicine: Standing summer drinks and medicines, such as summer tablets, essential balm, cooling oil, Huoxiang Zhengqi water, Ren Dan pills and ten drops of water. Summer drinks, such as mung bean soup, watermelon juice, tomato juice, chrysanthemum tea, etc., can be drunk at any time at ordinary times by adding a little salt to the above drinks.
