Geographical climate of Ciying Township

Ciying Town has rugged terrain and mountains. There are two reservoirs, Doushan and Hujiafen, which flow from north to south through eight village committees, namely Yangjia, Zhengzhai, Cai Jia, Wuguan, Ciying, Tuanjie and Xiaohe. Hujiafen and Yangjia meet in Longtan River, which is a first-class tributary of Nanpanjiang River, with a total length of 29 kilometers, a runoff area of 4.22 square meters, a drop of 66 meters, a maximum flow of 79 cubic meters per second, and an average flow of about1.1800 million cubic meters for many years, with a maximum flow of 235 million cubic meters. It is one of the largest water resources in eastern Yunnan. There are a few coal mines and bauxite mines in the north; There are more than 654.38 billion cubic meters of hairy soil in the central part, which contains many rare earth elements such as magnesium, lithium, silicon and selenium in addition to nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium needed by ordinary crops.

The dry and wet seasons are distinct, with an annual average temperature of 14.9 degrees, an annual rainfall of 900-1200mm, a frost-free period of about 245 days, an annual average sunshine hours of about 2,400 hours, and an accumulated temperature of 4,000-4,300 degrees higher than 10 degrees. Disastrous weather such as drought, flood, hail, low temperature, and chilling injury occur from time to time.
