In addition, Kangxi recommended seclusion in the mountains in 12 years, opening a museum of Ming history in 16 years, and recommending erudition in 17 years to attract celebrities and promote Confucianism. These measures promoted the development of Confucianism.

Disciples Rules was written in this literary atmosphere. Its original name was Xun, and its author was a scholar in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. He listed the rules and regulations that disciples should abide by when they are at home, when they go out, when they are filial, when they leave, when they are sincere and trustworthy, and when they are kind and have spare capacity, and they should learn.
