17. Singing the Orioles in the Willows
I woke up and fell asleep like this all night long. Now a person comes into the room, and now a person comes into the room. There are all kinds of noises, making it impossible to sleep peacefully.
It was only half past six, it was just dawn, and I couldn’t sleep anymore. Looking inside the room, there are four bunk beds and eight beds fully occupied. The business of this youth hostel is really good.
Get up. Went into the bathroom and took a shower. Use an electric kettle to boil water. The jar fills the water glass. He took off the quilt and sheets, put the key card on the bed, picked up his bag, and quietly left the room.
The Hello bike I rode over last night is still parked at the door. Scan the code, ride on, and go all the way downhill. Yesterday I just walked half a circle around the West Lake. Today, I will continue to make up the section from Leifeng Pagoda to the Broken Bridge. Also, I only saw seven of the old version of the ten sceneries of West Lake yesterday. Monuments, six found. The Three Pools Reflecting the Moon is on an island in the lake, but I didn’t go there. The two peaks are in the clouds. The small towers on the South Peak and North Peak have long been gone. They are just an imperial monument on Lingyin Road and no longer exist. The sunset was shining on Leifeng Peak. I just took a look at the scene. The monument should be next to Leifeng Pagoda, forget it. The only thing left is Sing the Warbler in the Willows, and I must find it today.
When I was riding by Jingci Temple, I saw that the temple door was open and there were monks coming and going at the door. I couldn't help but feel moved, so I stopped the car and walked into the temple.
As soon as I entered the mountain gate and walked a few steps, I was stopped by a monk: It’s not yet time to open the door. Please wait a moment and buy your tickets at the door.
Oh! I'm a little frustrated. I learned yesterday that you need to buy a ticket to enter Jingci Temple. There is a ticket office at the entrance of the temple. The ticket price is not expensive, only fifteen yuan.
I had no choice but to turn back and leave the temple.
After standing at the entrance of the temple for a while, I took out my mobile phone and took a few more photos of the Royal Stele Pavilion at Nanping Evening Bell and the mountain gate of Jingci Temple, and then reluctantly left.
After passing the Leifeng Pagoda Scenic Area, go south along the lakeside. Park your car near Shuangtou Bridge and start walking along the lakeside.
Shuangtou Bridge is a small zigzag stone bridge on the lake shore. There is also a pavilion in the middle. There is a nameplate beside the bridge, saying that Shuangtou Bridge is the best place to watch the sunset at Leifeng Peak. Whenever at dusk, the setting sun shines slantingly, the water surface reflects the silhouette of the ancient pagoda on the mountain peak, and the sunset illuminates the Leifeng Pagoda, as if the light of the Buddha is shining...
Chinese people have always believed that it is better to listen to the scenery than to see the scenery. explain. According to the nameplate, I looked carefully in the direction of Leifeng Pagoda: in the early morning, the sky was cloudy and deserted. On the calm water, small waves stirred the reflections of mountains, towers, and trees into chaos. The newly built Leifeng Pagoda stands among the green trees and looks quite upright. Maybe it was the wrong season, maybe the weather was wrong, maybe it was the wrong time, but the scenery of Leifeng Pagoda and the West Lake seemed bleak.
The lakeside in this area has several parks in a row. Changqiao Park, Bachelor's Park, Yongjin Park, and Singing the Orioles in the Willows are also a park.
In Liulang Wenying Park, there is the Qianwang Temple. This Qianwang Temple was also built a few years ago. People in Hangzhou don't take the usual path, and they dare to charge fees for the newly built Qianwang Temple. Tickets are fifteen yuan. Unfortunately, I came too early and the Qianwang Temple was not open yet.
In front of the main entrance of Qianwang Temple, there is a bronze statue of Qianwang. King Qian, who is slightly short and fat, is covered in armor and holds a sword-like cross in his left hand? Like a stick? It was something quite long, with two fingers stretched out on its right hand, and I couldn't figure out what it was trying to do. Coupled with the way King Qian looks down slantingly, people feel that this King Qian is mysterious and weird.
In fact, Hangzhou citizens have a very high opinion of King Qian. King Qian, whose surname was Qian and whose name was Miao, was the king of Wuyue during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Wuyue Kingdom experienced three generations and five kings. It has been passed down to the country for nearly a hundred years. During this period, the West Lake was dredged, seawalls were built, and many real good things were done for the people. Especially when Qian Hongchu was in power, facing the heavy military pressure of the Song Dynasty, King Qian resolutely followed the policy of "disregarding the soil and favoring the people" and accepted the surrender, which saved the people in Jiangsu and Zhejiang from the war.
It seems that in the hearts of ordinary people, there is still a feeling of weight. In the face of powerful external enemies, Yue Fei's resistance and King Qian's surrender seemed to be unanimously supported by the people. Is it a double standard among the people?
The issue of war and surrender is not something that the common people can decide. Moreover, this issue cannot be discussed. If you discuss it too much, you should... Haha, you know.
Beside the Qianwang Temple, there is also a newly built archway. Above are two vertical green characters: "Imperial Decree." Below is "Chengming Lake". The couplet on both sides reads: "The willows are dancing in front of the door; the flowers blooming on the street slowly return."
Speaking of which, the flowers blooming on the street slowly return, which is really an imperial edict. King Qian has a concubine who returns home every year during the Qingming Festival to visit relatives. One year, after the Qingming Festival, the spring scenery was approaching, but the concubine had not returned yet. King Qian missed his concubine, so he wrote a letter. There is this sentence in the letter: The flowers are blooming on the road, and you can return home slowly.
Why don’t the people of Wuyue know how to cherish such a tender and romantic King Qian who loves his people like a son? When the Song Dynasty troops are approaching, will you surrender if the superiors say you should surrender? Isn't there someone like Yue Fei who stands up? It really complies with the old saying "I'd rather not have a boy". well!
The imperial monument with the words "Weeping Orioles in the Willow Waves" is also near the Qianwang Temple. The lakeside in this area is mostly planted with willow trees with soft branches and leaves. However, you can't hear the chirping of orioles. The exciting music of the aunts performing square dances is very "high".
Not far from the Royal Monument of Wearing Orioles in the Willow Waves, in the water next to the ancient golden gate stone monument, there is a statue of a strong man leaping up with a harpoon in his hand. There is a nameplate below: Zhang Shun.
Dear me, why is "Water Margin" also released? Do you still think there are too few famous people’s relics on the edge of West Lake? I just walked this way, half hidden in the south of the river, rain in Fangting, Shuge Hengdi, Huang Yong's old residence, Zhou Yan's old residence, Ding Henian's tomb, ancient Qingbo Gate, Sino-Japanese no longer war monument..., I thought about it. Look carefully, you will be exhausted after reading it. I'm really speechless.
Standing in front of the Royal Stele Pavilion of "Wearing Orioles in the Willows", you are trying hard to tune out the "high" point of the square dance music, trying hard to recall the cry of the oriole, and suddenly, a wave of white stripes pops up in your eyes, this is not " "Trespassing"? Can people still enjoy the lake?
Chinese painting has always paid attention to white space. Hangzhou Municipal Government, can’t you leave some room for imagination in the minds of tourists? Let us also experience the artistic conception of "The willows outside the Golden Gate will be like gold, and they will become green shade if they don't come for three days. Take a tree and bring it into the city to teach others how deep spring is."
Disappointing! Forget it, stop reading. Walk. Take the bus to the next attraction: Hupao Spring.
