1, Dunhuang City, Gansu Province was called Shazhou in ancient times.

Shazhou City is an administrative division of ancient Gansu Province. At first, the scope was large, and it had jurisdiction over Dunhuang, Jinchang and Gaochang counties and the three camps of Duhu, Wuji and Yumen in the western regions. Later, only Dunhuang City in Gansu Province was left.

2. Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province was formerly known as Shazhou County.

3. There were sandbars near Macheng in ancient Hubei.

Shazhou in the Southern Dynasties ruled Baisha Guancheng (45km north of Macheng, Hubei), and Tian Jian entered the Northern Wei Dynasty in 503. Northern Wei led Jianning and Qi 'an counties. The natural forest protection in the Northern Qi Dynasty was abolished in 556.

4. There is Shazhou Town in Qingchuan County, Sichuan Province.

Shazhou Town, belonging to Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of Qingchuan County, bordering Yingpan Township in the east, Jindong Township in Lizhou District in the south, Ma Qi Township and Muyu Town in the west, and Duyao Town and Zhongmiao Township in Wenxian County, Gansu Province in the north.
