The inland river network in the city is relatively developed, and there are many small and medium-sized rivers. Island distribution

Yantai has a coastline of 909 kilometers, bordering the Bohai Sea in the north and northwest, and the Yellow Sea in the northeast and south. Zhifu Island, Nanchangshan Island and Mayang Island have a large area, and there are 15 islands with residents, namely Nanchangshan Island, Beihangshan Island, Daheishan Island, Xiaoheishan Island, Miaodao Island, Zhaiji Island, Daqin Island, Qinxiao Island, Nanhuangcheng Island and Beihuangcheng Island in Changdao County.
