Propagation method of ivy
At the end of autumn, select vigorous 1 ~ 2-year-old branches (with 3 ~ 4 buds) and cut them into cuttings. Then soak in 1000 times potassium permanganate or 800 times carbendazim solution for 10 to 12 hours, dry in the shade, and store in sand. Check once a week to see if the river sand is wet and the cuttings are rotten. If it is dry, spray water with a sprayer. If it is wet, strengthen ventilation; Rotten cuttings should be removed in time. In the early spring of the following year, cutting began before the sap flowed out. Choose sunny and well-drained places as high ridges, with a heating layer of 10 cm (60% pig manure or cow dung mixed with sawdust ash) on the bottom and a substrate of 25-30 cm on the top, which is 40% garden soil +30% chaff ash +30% coarse river sand or perlite. The upper substrate must be exposed to the sun or used. Select well-preserved and non-rotting cuttings, soak the base of cuttings in 0. 1% to 0.5% potassium permanganate solution for 10 hour, and dry them before inserting. Punching holes before cutting, the plant spacing is 10- 15 cm, the row spacing is 20-25 cm, and the insertion depth is about 2/3 of the cutting. Sprinkle enough water with a kettle after cutting to fully combine the cuttings with the substrate. Finally, set up a small arch shed on the border and cover it with straw mats to protect the sun and moisturize. Where there is no straw mat, a sunshade net can be used instead, and the light transmittance of the sunshade net is between 30% and 40%.
Soft branch cutting
Generally, the cutting time is from May to September, and the cutting method is basically the same as that of hardwood cutting, but a small number of leaves are needed, usually 1 or half a week, and no more than 2 pieces are needed at most. Cuttings should be inserted at harvest, and the substrate can be ordinary sand, vermiculite, peat and so on. No matter what kind of substrate, it requires strong drainage, good ventilation and disinfection. Soft branch cutting does not need heating layer, and the ground temperature and air temperature can meet the growth of cuttings. The base of cuttings can be soaked in 50pm ABT for 0.5 ~ 1 hour, and immediately inserted into the substrate after being taken out (the cutting method is the same as hardwood cutting). Then cover the agricultural film, and cover the sunshade net with light transmittance of 30%-40% above the agricultural film.
final-period management
Correct management is the key to the survival of cuttings. Open the straw mat or plastic film 1 2 times a day to provide ventilation and oxygen supply, and at the same time reduce the occurrence of diseases. Pay attention to keep the soil moist. When the weather is hot, spray water 2 to 3 times a day, but the amount of water spray should not be too much. Otherwise, the seedbed is too wet, which will affect the rooting of cuttings. Generally speaking, cuttings grow roots and leaves within 35 to 40 days. At this time, the leaves can be sprayed with 0.2% urea aqueous solution and 65438+ 0 ~ 2 times a week, and after 3 weeks, thin fertilizers, such as cake fertilizer and compound fertilizer, can be gradually added. It can be planted in autumn that year, and vines should be erected at the same time when planting. According to the above method, the survival rate of ivy can reach above 80% to 85%.
