Signal processor wrz sp 1 (weather radar z automatic signal processor 1);

It is a high-performance and low-cost signal processor designed by Tide Company for conventional rain radar system. It adopts advanced PLD+DSP signal processing structure and high-speed and high-precision AD. The system has the advantages of high performance, high integration, high flexibility and low price.

Hardware configuration: TMS320C5x/54x DSP processor, 16bit fixed-point processing, 64KW SRAM, 64KW FLASH, 128KW FIFO, 8KW dual port, PLD timing, programmable, SMA analog interface, standard full-length PC AT card.

System parameters: suitable for S, C and X-band radars, pulse repetition frequency (PRF): 200-2000 Hz, pulse width: 1, 2, 4 and 8us, and library length: 125m, 250m, 500m and 150m.

Five triggers, independently programmable' support PPI/RHI mode to display data, 16bit to input azimuth pitch in parallel, support external trigger synchronization, improve self-check function, and save configuration parameters when FLASH is powered off.

Signal processor intensity processing: average distance: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, average azimuth: 8 16, 32, 64 (pulse number), distance correction: 0-600Km, A/D conversion:1. Input signal amplitude: single-ended 0-5V, impedance 50Ω, output 16-bit intensity value, which supports clutter map cancellation.

System introduction: WRZSP 1 takes large-scale EPLD as the system sequence, and TI's TMS320C5x/C54x high-performance general-purpose DSP as the main processor. All the functions are integrated on a PC card, which can be inserted into the chassis of an ordinary computer. The processing parameters can be controlled through the computer control interface, and with the real-time display software of the computer, a fully functional rain radar signal processing system can be formed. The system is equipped with various types of memories to meet the requirements of different users. At the same time, the high-speed and high-precision AD converter with 10M 14 bits is used to obtain high-precision echo estimation, and the corresponding library length is obtained through down sampling, which reduces the influence of receiver fluctuation and greatly improves the processing accuracy. The fixed-point processing of 16bit completely meets the accuracy required for strength processing. Compared with the traditional system with only about 1M AD converter, the real-time echo image of RZSP 1 system has been greatly improved in both area and quality.

Application: The system has perfect occlusal design. When working in self-checking mode, the simulated weather echo signal generated by the system itself replaces the actual logging signal, and whether the system works normally can be known through the intuitive display screen. System layer self-check can detect whether the processing, interface and display of the whole system are normal, which is convenient for daily maintenance of radar.

Because the hardware and software of the system are programmable, it can be customized and reconstructed according to the requirements of users, and it has high cost performance. It overcomes the shortcomings of the original all-hardware rain radar signal processing system in China, such as large scale, high cost, low precision and poor reliability. At the same time, the signal processor is cheap, which is very suitable for low-cost rain radar systems such as airports, military units and meteorological departments. WRZSP 1 is used for both old product transformation and new product design. The signal processor is especially suitable for vehicular and airborne weather radar and other high mobility applications.
