In late spring and shallow summer this year, the weather is changeable, and it often rains and cools down, which is not conducive to the growth of lotus flowers that prefer yang to yin. The temperature was high in March and April this year, and it broke through the 30℃ mark many times. Therefore, many lotus flowers are in bud and carefully maintained, which is the scene of lotus flowers in Hu Sha Park China Lotus Variety Base in summer.

The exact opening time of the lotus flower in Hu Sha Park this summer is May 6th, and the variety is "Snow Plain is quite green", which is nearly half a month earlier than the first lotus flower "Xue Rui Yingchun" last year. If the weather conditions in Wuhan continue to be warmer, the sunshine is sufficient and the temperature is suitable, after about half a month, many varieties of lotus flowers such as "Master" and "Dongxihu Honglian" will also compete to bloom.

Hu Sha Park will be the main venue of Wuhan Lotus Festival, and the newly-built 7,200-square-meter lotus garden will be officially opened on the first day of the opening of the Lotus Festival.

In addition, there are five sub-venues, namely, Wuhan Botanical Garden, Yuehu Park, Tanghu Park, Hu Xiaonan Park and Jiangxia Fasi, a cloud venue in the Garden Science Park, and several special lotus viewing spots in Qintai Concert Hall.
