Forest fire weather forecast is mainly based on meteorological factors to predict the fire weather grade, which is divided into five levels according to whether the weather conditions can cause fire, namely, level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4 and level 5, as follows:

Level 3: Yellow warning signal of forest fire danger, indicating that the forest fire danger level is high within the validity period, and the combustible materials in the forest are easy to ignite and spread, with high risk.

Level 4: orange warning signal of forest fire danger, indicating that forest fire danger is highly dangerous within the validity period, and combustible materials in the forest are easy to ignite, and it is easy to form a strong fire and spread rapidly, which is highly dangerous.

Level 5: Forest fire risk red warning signal, which means that forest fire risk is extremely dangerous within the validity period, and combustible materials in the forest are easily ignited and spread rapidly, making it extremely difficult to put out the fire.

Types of forest fire prediction

The weather grade of fire danger is mainly predicted according to the meteorological factors that can reflect the degree of weather dryness and wetness. Meteorological factors usually include temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, wind speed and continuous dry weather. It does not consider the fire source, but only predicts whether the weather conditions will cause forest fires.

2. Forest fire prediction

According to the three conditions of forest fire, meteorological factors (temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, wind speed, continuous dry weather, etc. ), combustible conditions (wet and dry degree, load, flammability, etc. ) and fire source conditions (fire source type and space-time pattern, etc. ) comprehensive consideration, predict the possibility of forest fire.

3. Forest fire behavior prediction

On the basis of fully considering weather conditions and combustible conditions, we should also consider the influence of topography (slope direction, slope position, slope, altitude, etc.). ) to predict some fire behavior indicators such as fire spread speed and fire intensity after forest fires.
