Performance parameters of MQ-9 Death UAV

MQ-9 Death UAV is developed on the basis of MQ- 1 Predator, but the two UAVs are very different and perform different tasks. The wingspan of Death UAV is about 20m, which is equivalent to the size of A- 10 attack aircraft. It can carry weapons weighing about1360 kg (3,000 pounds), which is 10 times higher than Predator, and its maximum flight speed is 460km/h, which is twice as fast as Predator and is sustainable. The main airborne weapons of Death UAV include two GBU- 12 laser-guided bombs and four AGM- 1 14 Helfa air-to-surface missiles. In addition, it can also carry 227 kg (500 lbs) of "Joint Direct Attack Ammunition" and 1 13.5 kg (250 lbs) of small-diameter bombs. These GPS-guided weapons enable the Death UAV to hit the target accurately in bad weather.
