Policy basis, responsible for the county public meteorological forecast, severe weather warning, agricultural meteorological forecast, urban environmental meteorological forecast, fire weather grade forecast and other professional meteorological forecast production and release.

2, responsible for the administrative area of weather modification work, organize weather modification work.

3, responsible for the administrative area of lightning disaster prevention organization and management, to carry out lightning protection device design audit, construction supervision, completion acceptance and annual inspection, responsible for lightning protection and hydrogen balloon safety inspection.

4, responsible for the people's government at the same level and the relevant departments at the same level to put forward suggestions on the utilization and protection of climate resources and the popularization and application of climate resources zoning and other achievements, and organize the climate feasibility demonstration of climate resources development and utilization projects.

5, responsible for the administrative area of meteorological administrative law enforcement and meteorological legal publicity and education.

6, to undertake other tasks assigned by the competent meteorological departments at higher levels and the local people's government.
