As far as the influence of topography on climate is concerned, Chongqing urban area is a canyon landform, with the Yangtze River and Jialing River valleys. Of course, it is normal to have a hot and humid climate in summer. The sun at noon is very poisonous, because the fog clears in the morning and the dry airflow attacks people, which is very uncomfortable. In winter, Chongqing is colder. In Chongqing, located at the edge of Sichuan Basin, cold air can enter directly from the northwest along the river, or it can bypass Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau from the southwest and enter obliquely from the south of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, so the temperature difference between morning and evening is large and the temperature is low.

Hunan is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, Dongting Lake Plain and the third step of China's topography.
