Brief introduction of Shangougou scenic spot

Hangzhou Shangougou Scenic Area is located in Yaoniao Town, Yuhang District, the hometown of honey pears in Zhejiang Province, 40 kilometers northwest of Hangzhou. There is the first peak in Hang Cheng-Yaotou Mountain at an altitude of1095m and Taohong Mountain at an altitude of1025m, which is one of the important sources of Taihu Lake. The tourist area is rich in resources, excellent ecological environment and rich in animal and plant species, including the national rare plant Taxus chinensis and the national first-class protected animal black muntjac. Surrounded by mountains and green peaks, the vegetation coverage rate reaches 95%, forming a unique leisure and entertainment climate environment different from the surrounding environment. The scenic spot has also won many honors from national, provincial and municipal departments, and has been rated as "China Biosphere Reserve", "Zhejiang Nongjiale Characteristic Tourism Demonstration Site", "Zhejiang Forest Park", "Hangzhou Rural Tourism Pilot Unit", "Youth Patriotism Education Base" and "Hangzhou Most Ideological Scenic Spot". There is heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below, and Tangkeng Maotang. Shangougou Scenic Area consists of Tangkeng and Maotang.

Tangkeng is a canyon-type eco-tourism area with a total length of 2 kilometers and a drop of more than 380 meters. There are ups and downs, rapids, springs, and 18 waterfalls, which are called the Eighteen Waterfalls in the sky, and countless Qingtan waterfalls with beautiful surfaces. This is a good place for exploration and sightseeing. Attractions include: Cuiping Yingbin, Tiansheng Longgu, Meihua Sannong, Shuanglong Play Pearl, Five Girls' Day Sacrifice, Resuming Frontier Defense, Proud as Peacock, Tangkeng Ape, etc.

Maotang is an alpine terrace leisure and sightseeing resort, mainly in the countryside. The stone slope at the entrance of Maotang Village is very spectacular. When it is full of water, it is magnificent, and the sound shocks around it. When the water is low, it twists and turns like a light song, and the whole slope flow landscape is of first-class value, which can be described as the first slope flow in western Zhejiang. There are four huge stones, Sansheng Stone and Gushi Stone, above the big stone wall, leaving the world with an eternal mystery. In addition, the crustal movement hundreds of millions of years ago left a rare granite flow. In addition to the beautiful natural scenery, there are also rich cultural landscapes here, including the well-preserved former site of the New Fourth Army clothing factory and the former site of the ancient private school, so that visitors can trace back to the production and life scenes of the old farmers in the mountain village. Visitors can eat farmhouse meals, live in farmhouses and be mountain people here.
