How to plant fennel

(1) cultivation season and mode. Bulb fennel is cultivated in open field and protected field. You can cultivate in the open field in spring and summer, but you should use protected land to raise seedlings. For example, in Beijing, sowing is carried out in late March, sowing in late April and harvesting in mid-June. The northern region can also use protected land to realize annual cultivation, and it is appropriate to use protected land for cultivation in early spring, late autumn and winter.

① Greenhouse cultivation. General greenhouse cultivation starts from the middle of165438+February1October, sowing from the middle of 65438+February to the end of the following year1October, and harvesting from the middle of1October to the end of 65438+1October.

(2) Improve the cultivation of sun beds, plastic greenhouses and intermediate greenhouses. Spring sowing 65438+1sowing in greenhouse in early October, sowing in late February to mid-February, and harvesting in mid-April. If the temperature is low, a small arch shed should be added in the early stage of growth. Seeding seedlings in Xunyang border in August, sowing in late September to late June 10, harvesting in late October 10 to 10. If the later temperature is too low, appropriate insulation measures can be taken.

③ Plastic film mulching and arch shed cultivation. Sow seedlings in Xunyang border from late February to mid-March in spring, sow in late March to mid-April, and harvest in mid-May or early June.

(2) Key points of cultivation techniques. Bulb fennel can be used for direct seeding or seedling raising. Seedling raising and transplanting are widely used in Beijing.

(1) sow. Knead the seeds before sowing, soak them in clear water at about 20℃ for 20 ~ 24 hours, put them in an environment at 20 ~ 22℃ to accelerate germination, and wash them with clear water/kloc-0 times a day for about 6 days. When sowing, first soak the seedbed in water, sow at a row spacing of 6 ~ 10 cm and a plant spacing of 4 ~ 8 cm, and then evenly spread the prepared nutrient soil into the seedbed with a thickness of 0.5 ~ 1.0 cm. Generally, sow every 667m2 100 ~ 120g.

② colonization. When the seedlings grow 3 ~ 4 true leaves, the spacing between seedlings can be kept 6 cm square. When the seedlings grow to 10 ~ 20 cm high, about 5 ~ 6 true leaves can be planted in the field. Row spacing is 30-40cm, and plant spacing is 25-30cm.

③ Field management. After planting, the soil should be kept moist to promote the slow growth of seedlings. Topdressing 1 time when the plant height is 25cm, topdressing 10kg urea every 667m 2, and then applying 1 time quick-acting compound fertilizer with water, and watering human excrement and urine with water where conditions permit to promote plant growth and bulb expansion.

④ Pest control. Corm fennel has fewer pests and diseases. The main pest is the scarab butterfly. When the amount is small, it can be prevented or killed manually. When the quantity is large, it can be controlled by ordinary pesticides in the larval stage. The main diseases are powdery mildew, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and root rot. The control method is similar to other crops.

⑤ harvesting. Bulb fennel can be harvested about 75 days after sowing or 40 ~ 50 days after sowing. The harvesting standard is that when the bulb completely expands and stops expanding, the bulb outside is white or yellow-white. Early harvest, bulbs have not fully expanded, affecting yield; When the harvest is too late, the corm fiber increases and the quality decreases.

When harvesting, pull out the whole plant, cut off the upper thin leaves together with the old leaves, leaving only the upper petiole about 10 cm and the white bulb below, and at the same time, cut off the root of the bulb vigorously. In order to prolong the supply period, the bulb fennel can be harvested in stages and cultivated in protected areas in winter and spring, and the supply period can be prolonged by lowering the indoor temperature for more than 1 month.
