What should be done to prevent sandstorms?
Because sandstorms have caused immeasurable harm to human health and economic development, we need to take some preventive measures to prevent sandstorms. The following are things that should be done to prevent sandstorms, hoping to help everyone.
What should be done to prevent sandstorms?
1. Afforestation: Afforestation helps to increase vegetation coverage, protect water and soil resources, reduce desertification and desertification, and reduce the occurrence of sandstorms.
2. Make prevention plans in advance: the government and relevant departments should issue sandstorm forecasts in time to guide people to take corresponding measures to prevent and deal with sandstorms.
3. Reduce mining and reclamation activities: because some industrial and agricultural activities will destroy the geological structure, accelerate the evaporation and wind erosion of soil moisture, aggravate the drying of surface soil, and increase the incidence of sandstorms.
4. Strengthen environmental supervision and governance: The government should strengthen environmental supervision and governance, implement relevant laws and regulations, and prevent illegal activities such as illegal mining and sewage discharge.
5. Personal protective measures: When the sandstorm comes, we can take some appropriate personal protective measures, such as wearing masks, goggles, sealing doors and windows, controlling indoor and outdoor ventilation, and reducing the number of trips.
In short, we should strengthen the prevention and control of desertification, formulate scientific and feasible prevention and control strategies, and protect our beautiful homeland.
The windy and dusty weather process is expected to last until the end of tonight.
Zhang Linna, chief forecaster of the Municipal Meteorological Observatory, said that since the early hours of yesterday, there has been dusty weather over the city, and the sky is gray. Around noon, the south wind gradually increased, and the wind force was about four. The gusts in the western and southern regions are about six, and the local area in the western mountainous areas is above eight. Around the evening, with the increase of wind, the transportation is also strengthened, and the dust concentration is obviously increased. According to the actual situation of Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, the air quality in most areas was dominated by light pollution yesterday, and the concentration of PM 10 exceeded 200 μ g/m3.
Since last night, the south wind has changed to the north wind. It is estimated that there will still be 4 or 5 northerly winds in Beijing during the day, with 7 or 8 gusts, and the gusts in the western mountainous areas can reach 10. The windy and dusty weather will not end until tonight.
Zhang Linna said that dusty weather includes floating dust, blowing sand and sandstorm. Floating dust is a weather phenomenon in which sand or soil particles suspended in the atmosphere make the horizontal visibility less than 10 km. Sand blowing refers to the weather phenomenon that local or nearby dust is blown by the wind, making the horizontal visibility between 1 ~ 10 km; Sandstorm refers to the weather phenomenon that strong winds roll up a lot of dust from the ground, making the horizontal visibility less than 1 km.
The reporter learned that the main sources of dust in Beijing are Mongolian desert and Gobi. During the eastward movement of Mongolian cyclone and cold air behind it, strong winds rolled up dust, transported it at high altitude, moved southward and eastward, and settled in Beijing and other downstream areas, forming dusty weather. From March/kloc-0 to April 9 this year, there have been three sandstorm weather processes in Beijing, which occurred from March 1 0 to March 1 (sand blowing), March 14 (sand blowing) and March 22 (sandstorm). This process is the fourth sandstorm weather this year.
As of yesterday 16, the highest temperature in the southern suburb observatory rose to 28.5℃, which was hot and dry. However, with the cold air coming today, the temperature dropped significantly. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to drop to about 19℃, and the minimum temperature at night is only about 5℃. It is estimated that the highest temperature will be stable between 265,438+0℃ and 24℃ in the middle and late part of this week, but the temperature difference between day and night is large, so people with physical weakness should pay attention to the temperature change and take precautions.

Why are there so many dusty days this year?
Since the beginning of this year, Beijing has experienced four sandstorms. Why are there so many dusty days in Beijing this year? With this question, the reporter interviewed Qiu, a senior engineer of Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center.
Qiu transferred the air quality monitoring data of dusty weather in Beijing over the years from the monitoring information base. The data shows that the dusty weather in Beijing has indeed picked up in the past two years, especially this spring, showing a trend of multiple occurrences. Qiu introduced that the dust weather should meet three conditions at the same time: first, the sand source area, second, the uplift movement, and third, the transportation of strong winds. "These three conditions are available at the same time this spring." In spring, the soil thaws and precipitation is scarce. If the recovery is fast, the temperature is high, the precipitation is delayed, the soil is dry and loose, and frequent cyclones and frontal system activities are encountered, it is easy to bring foreign dust to Beijing and cause local sand blowing. "Generally, only in the spring, the three conditions of power, sand source and transmission that produce sandstorm weather are met at the same time, which will cause frequent sandstorm weather." Qiu said to him.
Specifically, the frequent sandstorm weather in March this year is mainly related to the deviation of surface conditions in the upper sand source area and the recent abnormal atmospheric circulation. Qiu introduced that in March this year, the Mongolian cyclone developed strongly, the temperature obviously warmed up, and there was a rare warming weather. Especially since mid-March, the vast area from central and southern Mongolia to Inner Mongolia has experienced more frequent cyclones and frontal system activities. Mongolian cyclones and strong winds are "porters" of dust. Under the windy weather conditions, dust was transported to China many times, which was the most direct cause of dust weather in North China this spring.
