The specific location of Wutai Mountain

Wutai Mountain is located in the northeast of Shanxi Province and belongs to the northern end of Taihang Mountain System. It spans more than 500 miles across Wuzhou, covering Wutai County, Fan Shi County, Daixian County, Yuanping County and Dingxiang County. Taihuai Town in the central area is 90 kilometers away from Wutai County, 0/60 kilometers away from Xinzhou City and 240 kilometers away from Taiyuan City, the capital of Shanxi Province.

Wutai Mountain is one of the earliest lands on the earth. Its gestation can be traced back to Archaean 2.6 billion years ago. The Sinian experienced the famous "Wutai Uplift" movement and formed the most magnificent mountainous area in North China. In Quaternary, glaciers covered Wutai Mountain, leaving precious periglacial landforms. Wutaishan Formation is complete and rich. Precambrian strata, in particular, have typical development and have become the key areas of national research and correlation. Most of the strata in Wutai Mountain are named after the mountains, waters and villages in this area, which fully shows its role in geoscience.

Wutai Mountain is the highest peak in North China, with the lowest elevation of only 624 meters and the highest elevation of 306 1 meter. Cockroaches are stacked on top of each other, with overlapping peaks and hills. Nature has created many unique landscapes for it.

Qifeng Lingya is everywhere, with more than 50 celebrities. Among them, the characters on the cliff, after being wetted with water, are carefully wiped with a handkerchief, and the handwriting similar to seal script will appear on the cliff surface, and the water is dry and the characters are hidden. Someone once removed the epidermis stone layer, and as a result, the words could be erased from the lower layer. If there are different levels, the words are different. According to records, the couplet "Three treasures of heaven, sun, moon and stars, three treasures of earth, fire, water and wind, and three treasures of people" has been found. The average elevation is above 1000 meters, and the highest point, Yemen Peak in Beitai, is 3058 meters above sea level, which is called "the roof of North China". Wutai Mountain is about 300 kilometers away from Fiona Fang. Because the five peaks are like five pillars, they rise from the ground and stand tall, and the summit is as flat as a platform, hence the name Wutai. Because of the cold climate on the mountain, it is still unknown in midsummer, so it is also called Liang Qingshan. It is a tourist area integrating natural scenery, historical relics, ancient architecture art, Buddhist culture, folk customs and summer vacation.
