Space weather modeling

Space weather model refers to the computer simulation of space environment. Similar to the meteorological computer model, the spatial weather model is based on a limited set of data values, and the values describing the whole or part of the spatial weather environment in the model are derived. Each model can predict or partially predict how the environment will evolve over time. The calculation model uses a series of mathematical equations to describe the physical processes involved. In the past 20 years, an important part of the research and development of space weather model has become a part of the National Science Foundation's Geospatial Environment Model (GEM) program. The two main simulation centers are Space Environment Simulation Center (CSEM) and Integrated Space Weather Simulation Center (CISM).
