How long does it take to learn welding?

Twenty days.

Double-pass welding has strong arc penetration, large penetration pool, high melting rate of welding wire and fast deposition speed, and the work efficiency is 1~3 times higher than that of manual arc welding.

Low welding cost: the secondary welding gas is a by-product of the factory, with wide sources and low price. Its cost is only about 40%~50% of submerged arc welding and manual welding. Under the same conditions, compared with manual arc welding, the former consumes about 40%~70% of the latter. The second kind of arc welding can be welded anywhere, and the thickness of thin plate can be welded to 1mm, which is almost unlimited. Moreover, when welding thin plates, it is faster and less deformed than argon arc welding.

Matters needing attention in secondary protective welding

Effective windproof, rainproof and safety measures should be taken before welding. When the wind speed is greater than 2m/s, effective wind protection measures such as wind deflector must be used. When there is water around the joint or the joint is wet, welding operation can only be carried out after the joint is dried. Stop welding when the weather is bad.

Before construction, the welder must carry necessary tools such as sharp hammer, wire brush and flat shovel, and wear labor protection articles. Nozzle must be cleaned frequently for splashes and other sundries. If the conductive nozzle is damaged, it must be replaced. Avoid excessive bending of torch hose during welding. Welding parameters are selected according to different welding positions, different welding wire specifications, different plate thickness and gap polarity. Refer to WPS for specific parameters.
