1, turtle fishing is best in summer. When the weather is cold, turtles won't come out. You won't catch turtles until October in summer. But the weather is hot in summer and the water temperature is high during the day, so the tortoise will not come out to move. Soft-shelled turtles are more common in the cooler morning or evening, so it is more suitable to catch soft-shelled turtles before 9 am and after 6 pm.

2, turtle fishing should choose shallow water, it is best to fish in the shallows by the river, turtles will choose a relatively flat place to bask in the sun. Turtles are carnivores. It prefers bait with bloody smell and is very sensitive to this bloody smell. Therefore, the best bait for turtle fishing is some fresh food such as pig liver, and some meat bait such as shrimp and earthworm can also be used, but it is not as good as the bait with heavy blood smell.

Sometimes it is more convenient to put the bait on the shore, and turtles will come directly to eat the bait. Look at the shore before fishing. It will be easier to fish where turtles are active. However, there are still some things to pay attention to after catching the turtle. The tortoise's claws will catch the bottom of the river, so it is difficult to pull it up. So use a small iron ring to put it in from the fishing rod, which will make it easier to catch turtles.
