How did the huge hail form?
1968 in March, a calf weighing 1000 grams died on the spot when hail fell in Bihar, India. This is a rare severe hail disaster in human history.
We found that from the end of spring to summer, hail often appeared in China and the whole world. According to common sense, it only freezes when it is cold in winter.
It turns out that in summer, a large amount of water vapor rises sharply under the strong sunlight, condenses into small ice crystals when it is cold at high altitude, falls down, and meets with small water droplets along the way to become snow beads. During the descent, the snow beads were brought back to the sky by the newly rising hot air. In this way, the snow beads rolled up and down in the clouds, wrapped in layers of ice coats, getting bigger and heavier, and finally falling from the air into hail.
But to people's surprise, sometimes after a hail, people will find some extra-large hail, some of which weigh tens of kilograms and can be used as a washbasin; Some are as big as cars. Just like 1957 hail in Yijinhuoluo Banner, Yikezhaomeng, Inner Mongolia, China, people found a huge hail the size of a jeep in the valley. And in June 1973, 13, a huge hail was found in Shanzhuang Bridge, Huachi County, Gansu Province, China, which was higher than the house.
Scientists don't have enough evidence, so they speculate on the mystery of huge hail. Scientists believe that during the hail process, the back of the hail cloud was attacked by thousands of cold air, and as a result, the raindrops falling on the ground remained cool. Raindrops floating in the wind gather on the side of an icy object, freeze and thicken, and finally form a prismatic giant hail. Therefore, scientists speculate that the raw materials of huge hail come from the sky and are finally processed on the ground.
