Firefighter weather

Firefighters put out the fire in cold weather, not the expected temperature? Positive and negative cancellation? On the contrary, firefighters need to face more unbearable situations.

At the scene of the fire, firefighters need to be close to the scene of the fire in order to put out the fire source accurately. At this time, the temperature endured by firefighters is even as high as 90℃, which is unbearable for the human body. Therefore, firefighters must spray water on their bodies in advance and use the principle of evaporation to absorb heat to reduce the temperature.

Even so, it is common for firefighters to melt their clothes and helmets after putting out the fire. It is difficult for astronauts to feel warm at the scene of the fire, only burning pain, and extinguishing the fire in the cold is a severe challenge!

First of all, the heat of fire will not be evenly heated:

The temperature emitted by the flame propagates in the form of infrared rays, and the irradiated object will be heated.

Firefighters with their backs to the cold and faces to the flames are actually enduring the high temperature of tens of degrees in front and the low temperature below zero in the rear. For the human body, the two temperatures will not be neutralized quickly in the body, only the heat in front and the cold in the back will be felt.

The most important thing is that firefighters need to get wet before entering the fire, which intensifies the cold behind them. Even if they put out the fire at the scene of the fire, firefighters may freeze behind them in the cold environment.

Second, the firefighting environment for firefighters is very limited.

At the fire scene, the equipment of firefighters is very limited, so it is impossible for every firefighter to face the fire continuously. When firefighters leave the fire to rest, there is no dryer to help them dry their clothes. All firemen can only wear wet clothes and have a short rest in the cold environment.

In the sub-zero temperature, wearing wet clothes makes me feel cold when I think about it. In winter, freezing is a very quick thing. When firemen stay away from the fire, their clothes will soon freeze.

For firefighters, rest time is very precious. They don't have time to put on clean clothes and get the ice off them. After a short respite, they need to return to the fire and continue the fire fighting and rescue work.

At the scene of the fire, the power of the flame is far beyond our imagination. Ultra-high temperature can make a lot of water evaporate instantly.

Firefighters face great risks at every step near the fire site. However, in order to save people and things at the scene of the fire, they chose to be brave and fight the disaster. No matter how bad the environment is, firefighters will not give up their tasks. They deserve our respect and gratitude!
