Is it dangerous to drive from Dujiangyan to Siguniang Mountain on Provincial Highway 303?

Road conditions of Dujiangyan-Siguniang Mountain section of Provincial Highway 303:

1, Dujiangyan-Yingxiu, now you can take Du Wen Expressway, 15 minutes by car.

2. Yingxiu-Gengda (24KM) belongs to the post-earthquake reconstruction line and has been under maintenance. The car can pass but it is difficult to walk, which takes about 1 hour. And now the road maintenance of this route has traffic control, single entry and double exit (for example, July 1 Chengdu-Siguniang Mountain, July 2 Siguniang Mountain-Chengdu).

3. Gengda-Wolong-Dengsheng is a second-class highway with good road conditions, about 1.5 hours' drive.

4. Panshan Highway Dengsheng-Balangshan, with good road conditions, spacious roads and protective fences, is relatively safe. However, it is more difficult to drive in foggy days, which is about 1 hour.

Dujiangyan-Wolong-Balangshan-Rilong, whole journey 160KM. Off-road vehicles take about 3 hours and 30 minutes, and cars take about 4 hours.

Is it dangerous to drive? Personally, as long as you don't feel bad about the car, there is no problem crossing Yingxiu-Gengda section. The only place that feels a little dangerous is the foggy weather in Balang Mountain. Beware of big trucks going down the mountain, which often occupy the road.

I hope it helps you!
