How should chickens be fed to survive?

1. brooding: the success or failure of brooding mainly depends on the survival rate, with the following key points:

① Temperature: The temperature of chicks should be controlled at 34-35℃ in the first week after hatching. From the second week, the temperature dropped by 2℃ every week until the sixth week. The method of heat preservation depends on the number of chickens. Fewer chickens can use cartons and light bulbs. That is, put the chicken in a box, hang a 60W light bulb, and put a water bottle and a food can at the same time; Most chickens can be warmed in the brooding room and indoor coal stove, but the ash must be discharged outside through iron pipes. In order to ensure the accuracy of temperature, in addition to observing the state of chicks, we should also hang a thermometer and often remove feces.

② Illumination: 24-hour illumination is needed in the first week of brooding to ensure that chicks eat and drink day and night to promote growth and development. After that, it will be reduced by 2 hours a week until the lights are turned off at night. Lighting and heat preservation can be combined. If the temperature is not enough, you can add boiling water, wrap it in a container with cloth and heat it in a box.

③ Feeding density: 1- 14 days 50-60 heads /m2, 15-2 1 35-40 heads /m2, 2 1-44 days 25 heads /m2, 60 days later/kloc. Dehumidified chickens can be kept in cages, flat or free-range, as long as the density does not exceed the above standards.

④ Feeding and drinking: Chickens can drink and feed 24 hours after hatching. Put the brood material into the bucket to feed freely, and put the clear water into the water cup at the same time. You can drink cold water 20 days before brooding, and then you can drink well water or tap water. Because of the low feed intake and vigorous metabolism of chicks, in order to prevent malnutrition, 8-10% glucose and water-soluble vitamins must be added to drinking water on the first day.

2. Feeding after cooling: When chicks are 40 days old, they can stop heating, but the temperature cannot change too much. In rainy and windy weather in winter, the room temperature should still be above 15℃, and the light is natural light. The feeding method is as follows:

(1) Caging: transfer the cooled chicks into cages. Its advantages are that it can make full use of the space, the chicken does not touch feces, there are few diseases, it is easy to catch chickens, and the labor intensity of breeders is reduced; The disadvantage is that the stress response of chickens raised for a long time is great, and the chest and legs of chickens are prone to pathological changes.

② Pingyang: Pingyang can be divided into online Pingyang and above-ground Pingyang. Online flat farming is the same as cage farming, but it increases the activity of chickens and is not easy to get sick, of course, the cost is high; Ground farming is to put wheat straw, chaff, rape shell and other padding materials on the cement ground and raise chickens on it. The advantages are cost saving, and chicken breast and chicken leg are not easy to get sick. Because the local chickens have a large amount of activities, there is no need to change the padding. The disadvantage is that chickens defecate directly on bedding, which is easy to induce some diseases.

(3) Stocking: Put the chickens outdoors in the morning, expose them to the sun and touch the soil. Meanwhile, you can find some mineral feed and insects. Drive the chicken back to the house at noon and night to supplement the feed. The advantage of this feeding method is to let the chickens return to nature. Chicken has good meat quality and high price. The disadvantage is that the required space is large and the breeding scale is limited. This method is suitable for farmers to graze freely in a small amount.
