How to drive Audi a6l?

P (Stop) Stop, or stop.

P is used for parking. It uses mechanical devices to lock the rotating parts of the car so that the car cannot move. When the engine is running, as long as the gear selector is in the driving position, the automatic car can walk easily. When parking, the selector lever must be pulled to the P position, so that the output shaft is locked by the parking brake device inside the transmission, and the hand brake is tightened to prevent the car from moving. When the car needs to stay in a fixed position for a long time, or before leaving the car after parking, you should pull the handbrake and push the joystick to the "P" position. It should be noted that only P gear can be used when the vehicle stops, otherwise the mechanical part of the automatic transmission will be damaged. When not in use, stop the car, and the gear is here. At this time, the wheels are mechanically locked to prevent slipping. In addition, the automatic transmission car is equipped with a neutral start switch, so that the car can only start the engine in the "P" or "N" gear to avoid the car jumping forward suddenly when other gears are started by mistake.

R (reverse) reverse:

Use r when reversing. Automatic transmission can't use semi-linkage like manual transmission, so pay special attention to the control of accelerator pedal when reversing. Usually, you must press the safety button on the control lever before you can move the control lever to the "R" position. It should be noted that when the vehicle has not stopped completely, it is absolutely impossible to shift to "R" gear forcibly, otherwise the transmission will be seriously damaged.

N (neutral) neutral:

N gear refers to neutral gear, which can be used when starting, towing or temporarily stopping (such as red light). In order to prevent the vehicle from slipping on the slope, be sure to step on the brakes when it is in neutral. Put the joystick in the "N" position, and the power between the engine and the transmission has been cut off and separated. If the stay time is short, you can put the shift lever in this position, pull out the handbrake lever, and your right foot can leave the brake pedal for a short rest. When waiting for the signal or traffic jam, we often put the gear selector in the D position and brake at the same time. If the time is short, this is allowed, but if the parking time is long, it is best to shift to N gear and tighten the handbrake. Because the gear selection position is in the driving position, the general driving trend of automatic transmission vehicles is weak. Braking for a long time is equivalent to forcibly stopping this trend, which makes the transmission oil temperature rise and the oil easily deteriorate. Especially when the air conditioner is working and the engine idle speed is high, it is even more unfavorable. In order to save fuel, some drivers turn the selector lever to N when driving at high speed or downhill, which is easy to burn the transmission. Because the output shaft of the transmission rotates at high speed and the engine runs at idle speed, the oil pump is insufficient, the lubrication condition deteriorates, and the transmission is easy to burn.

D (drive) forward gear, also known as drive gear:

D In this gear, the gearbox will automatically switch between 1 ~ overspeed gear (equivalent to 1 ~ 4 gear) according to the vehicle speed and throttle condition, which is used for general road driving. Due to different designs in different countries, the "D" gear generally includes from 1 gear to high gear or from second gear to high gear, and it will automatically shift gears due to changes in vehicle speed and load. Put the joystick in the "D" position, and the driver can control the speed just by controlling the accelerator pedal. When driving normally, put the shift lever in the D position, and the car can automatically shift gears between 1 ~ 4 (or 3). D position is the most commonly used driving position. What needs to be grasped is that the automatic transmission determines the gear according to the size of the accelerator and the speed of the vehicle, so the operation method of the accelerator pedal is different, and the shift speed is also different. If you step on the accelerator quickly at the start, the upshift will be late and the acceleration ability will be strong. After reaching a certain speed, quickly release the accelerator pedal, and the car can immediately upshift, so that the engine has low noise and good comfort. Another feature of D position is forced low gear, which is convenient for overtaking at high speed. When driving in D gear, quickly step on the accelerator pedal to the end, turn on the forced low switch to automatically downshift, so the car accelerates quickly, and then release the accelerator pedal to automatically upshift after overtaking.

S or 2 (2nd gear) 2nd gear:

Second gear is a low-speed forward gear, which also means limit gear. In this gear, 1 gear is used for starting. After starting, the gearbox is in the second gear, which is used as a limit gear when starting on wet roads or driving slowly. You can use this gear to start on a big slope or on a relatively inclined slope. Here, the shift position can limit the shift position of the car to automatically switch only in the low gear (equivalent to the first gear and the second gear of the manual shift car), so as to ensure that the car can get the maximum forward power. Put the joystick in second gear, and the car will start from 1 gear, and automatically shift to second gear when the speed increases. Second gear can be used for uphill and downhill. The advantage of this gear is that the vehicle will stay in the position of 1 or 2 when going up or down, and the transmission will not keep shifting because of the upward load or speed imbalance. When going downhill, braking by using the resistance of the engine at low speed will not make the car go faster and faster (the other S gear is sports mode, as described below).

S stands for sports.

S means exercise. In this gear, the gearbox can shift gears freely, but the shift timing is delayed, which makes it stay at high speed for a long time and increases the power of the vehicle. Obviously, this will increase fuel consumption.

L (low gear) or 1 (first gear) low gear, also called 1 gear:

L gear is also a low-speed forward gear. When going downhill or down a long slope, the gear here can automatically limit the gear of the car to the lowest gear (equivalent to the first gear of a manual car), so that the car can brake by engine power when going downhill, without the driver stepping on the brake for a long time, resulting in overheating of the brake pads and danger. At this time, the transmission can only work in the range of 1, and cannot be engaged in other gears. It works best when used in serious traffic jams and steep slopes. When going uphill or downhill, the torque of the automobile engine can be fully utilized. Second, use the S, L position low gear.

The automatic transmission is in the low range in the S position or the L position, and can be used in ramps and other situations. Switching to S-gear or L-gear when going downhill can make full use of engine braking and avoid overheating of wheel brakes, which will lead to a decrease in braking efficiency. However, when shifting from D gear to S gear or L gear, the vehicle speed should not be higher than the corresponding upshift speed, otherwise the engine will vibrate strongly, which will lead to a sharp increase in the oil temperature of the transmission and even damage the transmission. In addition, in rainy and foggy weather, if the road surface adhesion conditions are poor, you can switch to S gear or L gear and fix it in the low gear. Don't use a position that can automatically shift gears to avoid the car slipping. At the same time, it must be remembered that when slipping, you can push the gear selector lever to the N position to cut off the power of the engine and ensure the driving safety.

Third, the use of automatic cars.

1, when the engine starts, the automatic gearbox also limits the gear, which is adjusted by the manufacturer for safety reasons. In general, the engine can only be started when the shift lever is in the P or N position. If the gear lever is in the driving gear, such as D, R, etc. The engine can't start. The purpose of this restriction is to prevent the car from colliding with the front and rear objects. If a novice can't start the engine, he should first check whether he is in the wrong gear. If it is not P or N gear, it should be adjusted before starting the car;

2. Starting method of N gear: When your vehicle starts straight without reversing, you can turn on the power first, press the brake to push the gear to N gear, then ignite, and then go straight into D gear to avoid the need to go through R gear after ignition of P gear, so that the gearbox will experience a reversing impact! Another function is that when the engine suddenly stops running, it can quickly push the gear to N gear for ignition and then start the engine under the condition of ensuring safety;
