What are the weather requirements for wheat?
Wheat has different requirements for weather at different growth stages:
1. Emergence stage:
At the emergence stage, the requirements for rainfall are higher, and the soil moisture content is higher. If it encounters drought, we should pay attention to irrigation.
The optimum temperature for wheat seedling stage is between 15-2 degrees. Too low or too high is not conducive to germination.
there is no obvious requirement for light at seedling stage.
2. Tillering-jointing stage:
This stage also requires sufficient water, which requires high soil moisture. If there is too little precipitation, the ear length will be small, the number of grains set will be reduced, and the rate of sterile florets will be increased.
The optimum temperature in this period is 12-16 degrees, which is most beneficial to the formation of short, thick stalks of wheat. Appropriate temperature can prevent the stalks from growing too high and lodging easily, and can also prevent the stalks from being too thin and undernourished.
at this stage, the sunshine time should be short rather than long. If the sunshine time is short, the differentiation time will be prolonged, which is beneficial to the formation of large panicles. If the sunshine time is long, the differentiation speed of young panicles will be too fast, and the number of small panicles and flowers will be less.
3. Heading and flowering period
At this stage, wheat also needs enough water, but the precipitation should not be too large, which will easily cause pollen grains to absorb water, swell and break.
the most suitable temperature for this team segment is 18-2 degrees. Too low or too high a temperature will inhibit the opening of tea.
at this stage, the sunshine time should also be short rather than long.
4. Maturity stage of grain filling
At this stage, there is a high demand for precipitation. If there is too much precipitation, it will easily affect the maturity of grain, and if there is too little precipitation, it will shorten the filling stage. ?
The optimum temperature at this stage is between 2-22 degrees. If the temperature is too high, the grouting period will be shortened.
At this stage, sufficient light is needed, and insufficient photosynthesis affects grain maturity, resulting in an increase in the number of shriveled grains in wheat.
