2023 Nanjing designated place for setting off fireworks

In 2023, the designated places for setting off fireworks and firecrackers in Nanjing include Qixia, Jiangning, Liuhe, Lishui and Gaochun.

Only some areas in Nanjing can set off fireworks, and most areas prohibit the discharge and sale of fireworks and firecrackers. Fireworks and firecrackers are prohibited in Jiangbei New District, Xuanwu District, Qinhuai District, jianye district, Gulou District, Pukou District and Yuhuatai District.

In order to fully respond to the needs of the citizens and highlight the theme of "Happy and Safe Chinese New Year", with the consent of the municipal government, Nanjing has set up 20 centralized discharge points in the non-forbidden areas of Qixia, Jiangning, Liuhe, Lishui and Gaochun to guide the needy citizens in the forbidden areas to discharge.

When discharging in a non-forbidden area, you should choose an open space where there is no discharge, and avoid key protected units and parts such as inflammable and explosive materials, cultural relics protection, forests and haystacks. When the centralized discharge is ignited, the on-site purchase and on-site discharge are completed. Don't transport by private car, try to avoid peak hours and follow the guidance of on-site management personnel.

Precautions:

When setting off fireworks, be careful not to put them upside down. It is best to fix it on the ground with objects or instruments. When holding fireworks, hold the end of the barrel with your fingers, and don't turn the bottom towards your palm. After lighting, straighten your arms, with the fireworks mouth facing up and the tail facing the ground, and shoot into the air. Don't detonate on buildings and balconies.

When discharging spray, small fireworks and combined fireworks, they should be placed flat on the ground and fastened, and there should be no tumbling during the discharge. Whoever lights the fuse should leave at once. When setting off fireworks and firecrackers, attention should be paid to stay away from urban rainwater manhole covers, sewage manhole covers, septic tanks and other drainage facilities, so as to avoid igniting and detonating flammable and explosive gases remaining in drainage pipes, causing personal injury and property losses.

Children should set off fireworks under the supervision of adults. Don't set off fireworks and firecrackers in windy weather, otherwise it will easily lead to fireworks and firecrackers deviating from the discharge track and falling on flammable materials to cause a fire.
