Why do bees go to the king?

A swarm of bees consists of queen bees, worker bees and drones. When the weather is fine, a large number of worker bees will fly out from 2 pm to 4 pm and fly around the hive in an orderly manner for several minutes to ten minutes. This situation is called "king of noodles" by beekeepers. Let's see why bees face the king!

1. Why do bees face the king?

The bee "Chao Wang" is actually a young worker bee who goes out for flight test. Through the flight test, he learned and became familiar with the situation outside the nest, so that he could go out for collection in the future. He also excreted by flying, because bees usually excrete only during flight. At the same time, in hot summer, bees like to fly at 2 ~ 4 pm, which is beneficial to heat dissipation in the box and air flow outside the box.

2. What are the signs of bee separation?

1. prophase: the period of 8 ~ 15 days before bee sorting is called prophase of bee sorting. During this period, worker bees will start to build a drone house and a queen bee platform in the bee colony to cultivate new drones and queens.

2. Mid-term: the queen bee platform cultivated by bees began to be blocked 2-7 days before bee distribution. At this time, worker bees will gradually feed and not feed the queen bee, thus shrinking the abdomen and reducing the amount of eggs laid, so as to prepare for the future bee sorting flight.

3. Recently: 1 ~ Two days before the bees were divided, the worker bees in the nest began to neglect their work, and the hive began to be restless, and even some impatient worker bees formed a ball somewhere outside the hive.

Third, how to collect the bees?

1, bees usually form a colony not far from the beekeeping farm after natural division of labor. In most cases, they will form a group on the branches. Beekeepers should wait until the colony is formed before taking it back, or they can arrange some facilities suitable for colony formation near the beekeeping farm to collect bees.

2. Prepare an empty hive and close the door before picking bees, pour some honey on the empty nest spleen, tie it to a corner of the nest frame with a rope, and tie the other end of the rope to a long bamboo pole. Hold the bamboo pole to make the nest spleen close to the bee colony and attract bees to climb on the empty nest spleen.

3. When there are a certain number of bees on the nest spleen, take back the nest spleen to see if there is a queen bee on it. If there is no queen bee, put the nest spleen in an empty beehive and cover it, and then repeat the previous step with a nest spleen until the queen bee is lured to the bee spleen.

4. After the queen bee is found, use the king cage to prevent it from flying away, put it in the empty beehive with the bee spleen, cover it and open the beehive door. Other bees will naturally fly into the hive, adding a spleen and a honey spleen to the restored bee colony.
