Name change

The calf has been renamed since ancient times. Because of its towering peaks, it was called Loushan in Han Dynasty. Because its peak is high and flat, its shoulders are symmetrical and steep, just like the Temple of Heaven, on a hill, so Wei Yuexian is Mount Tai; Because its peak is like a gentleman sitting in danger, it was called Junshan in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

In the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Yi County Records said: "There are calves in Junshan, which stand thousands of miles on the wall and enter the sea for 300 miles. The weather is clear and the sea looks right in front of us. At first, it occupied Niuniu Mountain and several hectares of flat land. Once upon a time, Wang Lao took a calf to plow the field, and then the immortal went, so he got this name. There is a pool several feet deep on the mountain. Drought and flood do not increase, and rain comes out. "

The name "Baodugu" comes from the name "Baodugu Mountain". Because the peaks around it are all carved with knives and axes, and the peaks are flat, which conforms to the meaning of the word "holding calves", so people call it "holding calves".

According to the records of Linyi area and Cangshan County (Lanling County was originally called Cangshan County), according to the inscription of Lingfeng Temple on the left side of the mountain, Ge Hong, a Taoist priest in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once abandoned his official position at the foot of the mountain and led a calf up the mountain to live in seclusion and cultivate his cultivation. He was "heroic and virtuous, and was famous for his emperor que", and the emperor named him a real person, which was a treasure.
