Punch in the "hometown of martial arts", stay in "Kung Fu B&B" and explore Foshan, Guangdong.
The central city of Foshan is called Chancheng. As the name implies, the streets and buildings in the old city here are full of Zen. People live and work in peace and contentment, have ample food and clothing, are pragmatic and low-key, and live a happy Buddhist life. This rare life creed has been vividly interpreted in Foshan's most famous cultural landmark "Zumiao".
Although Foshan's fame and strength are not comparable to those of modern metropolises such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen, it has been rated as the first city in China that is most suitable for living and supporting the elderly in the online selection, which is not unrelated to Foshan's profound cultural heritage and inclusive urban atmosphere. In addition to inheriting Lingnan traditional culture, it also introduces fashionable and modern elements in a timely manner, attracting more and more young people to Foshan to find this "Buddhist life" with ancient charm and vitality.
As the core area of Lingnan Guangfu culture, Foshan has many historical and cultural treasures, which are worth savoring by modern people. In fact, as early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Foshan was called "the four famous towns in China" with Zhu Xian, Hankou and Jingdezhen, and "the four gathering places in the world" with Shi Jing, Hankou and Suzhou. Here, people gather together, the streets are bustling, there are secluded gardens with green water, beautiful famous gardens and countless classical garden buildings, which are still well preserved.
Among many Lingnan gardens in Foshan, the most famous one is "Liangyuan". As a model of Lingnan Garden, Liangyuan Garden is recognized as the first of the "Four Famous Gardens in Lingnan". It was built in Jiaqing and Daoguang years of Qing Dynasty and lasted for more than 50 years. It is a collection of mansions, ancestral halls, gardens, pavilions and pavilions. The courtyard space adopts Lingnan style, and the garden landscape pursues nature and elegance. It is a classic of Lingnan literati gardens in Qing Dynasty.
Liangyuan is located in Xianfeng Road, Song Feng Road, Chancheng District, Foshan City. After 100 years of vicissitudes, this cultural treasure of ancient buildings still stands in the "cracks" of modern reinforced forest, which is a miracle worthy of admiration. Pursuing away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the joy of nymphs is the ultimate hobby of ancient literati in Foshan. Nowadays, this quiet environment and artistic conception have been perfectly preserved in Liangyuan.
Go through the traffic and noise of the city and walk into Liangyuan, and you will find a hole in the sky. Although I am in a bustling city, I can enjoy the rare tranquility and peace. Everything in the park is elegant, poetic and refreshing, from pavilions to winding water, from secluded forests and strange stones to blue brick alleys.
When you come to Foshan, a city with stories, you must set aside enough time to stroll slowly and find a place to live for a few days before you can truly discover its Buddhist beauty. Just opposite Liangyuan, there is a theme boutique B&B, which is located in the city center, quiet in the city center, with convenient transportation and complete facilities. There are many places of interest around, eating, drinking and having fun. This is an excellent place to explore Foshan.
This is "Fengrui B&B", formerly known as "My Department Store", which is full of Lingnan charm from its name. In Cantonese, "my home" means "no", that is, "not a hotel", while "I" in ancient Chinese means "I", that is, "I am a hotel". The name "My Hotel" has a double meaning, which is both a hotel and a hotel. In addition to the service function of the hotel, it also bears the imprint of local culture that ordinary hotels have not inherited. Now this homestay has been officially renamed as "Fengrui", adding a bit of elegance and wisdom.
This B&B opened on 20 18, and it is the first hotel in Foshan with the theme of Kung Fu. The decoration here is naturally in line with the accumulation of Foshan's "Kung Fu City". When you come to the gate and entrance of the hotel, you can see many decorations and cultural symbols closely related to Kung Fu, including hemp fiber hats, lion head door buckles, riveted wooden doors, red lanterns and drums. Full of kung fu elements, people seem to have entered the studio of classic martial arts movies.
When you walk up the stairs to your room, you will pass a section of retro wooden stairs. Many classic Kung Fu movie characters are hand-painted on the white wall, such as Chiu Man-Cheuk in Huang Feihong, Jet Li in Shaolin Temple, Tony Leung Chiu Wai in The Master, and Sammo Hung in Cai Lifo Boxing, all of which are vivid images of Kung Fu, bringing guests into the world of Kung Fu quickly.
On the wall of the corridor, there is a photo exhibition of the history of China Kung Fu, which shows you the development of China Kung Fu in the past 100 years and the essence of Wushu. It can be said to be a "Kung Fu Museum".
At the corner of the corridor, there is also a black background wall with a large golden relief of traditional Chinese characters, which is composed of the works of famous martial arts masters such as IP Man, Huang Feihong and Fang Shiyu. Some Chinese characters are upside down, which means that Kung Fu moves are accessible, unpredictable and full of strong sense of Kung Fu art.
When you walk into Fengrui B&B's room, you will feel the rich Lingnan culture. The decoration in the new Chinese style is pleasing to the eye. The soft and tidy big bed, the traditional window lattice with Lingnan characteristics, the decoration of xiguan big house gate and the new impressionist Lingnan ink painting fully reflect the quiet and peaceful living atmosphere of Foshan people.
The overall space is dominated by white and light gray, giving people a sense of purity and relaxing instantly. Bedding is also carefully selected, which not only looks clean and tidy, but also has high comfort when sleeping. A lotus flower on the pillow, stained with soil, gives the whole room an infinite Zen atmosphere.
Many small and exquisite details in the room are unique finishing touches, such as the retro bedside table inspired by the wooden cabinet of the Republic of China, the flower-and-bird painting model headed by "Emu" on the metal chandelier, the replica desk lamp in the Republic of China, and the martial arts characters on the bedside landscape painting, all of which make this theme hotel interesting.
Although the entire Fengrui B&B has only 3 1 room, the small objects placed in the small corner of the room can always make people feel the good intentions of designers and people. A Zen tea, a wooden "token" notice and a porcelain doll in Shiwan, Foshan all contain profound cultural stories.
The bathroom space in the room is mainly white and light gray, and the door of log color is clean and refreshing, with good sanitary conditions. Ingenuity is also needed in the configuration of bathroom supplies, and the puzzle full of childlike interest makes people smile.
