Tencent entry experience (1)

I haven’t had time to update recently because I have been busy with interviews and recruitment at Tencent. Now that I have officially joined the job, let’s talk about my feelings.

I joined a research and development position in Shenzhen, which belongs to the PCG business group. Before I joined the company, I read some reviews on Maimai. To be honest, I was very nervous at the time. Now that I have officially joined the company, I am working at the same time. Let’s record our true feelings while doing so.

Let me first talk about a better experience for me

First of all, there is a transit accommodation when you join a job in another place. What does it mean? It means that if you come to Shenzhen from another city When you join the company, Tencent will provide you with a seven-day free transit accommodation, giving you time to find a house. Because I used to work in Wuhan and this time I was working in a different place, so I applied for this transit accommodation. Tencent arranged for a pretty good hotel in Nanshan District. The hotel information was sent to my email a few days in advance, which was a great help to me. help so that I don’t have to worry about where to live. After staying in the hotel, I felt that it was indeed a very good hotel. In terms of environment, service, and atmosphere, they were all above average, and breakfast was included.

Then there are detailed text messages and email notifications for every step from the interview to transfer to onboarding. If it's a more important link, such as back-checking, in addition to emails and text messages, someone will call and send me WeChat, which makes me feel at ease. Unlike some other big factories, the interview is over. If you are not notified, you will be kept waiting. I once had an interview with another large company, and it took more than ten days after the interview to tell me that I had passed the interview?

The third is the commuting time. According to my instructor’s description, there is no fixed commuting time here. Just have breakfast at 9 o’clock in the morning and then go to work. There is usually a shuttle bus after 6 o’clock in the evening. If you swipe the access control and go out after 8 pm, there will be a midnight snack coupon in your card, which can be used for consumption the next day.

Then there is the canteen. Although I have only been here for a few days, I feel that the food is really good. The canteen has two floors. The Binhai Building is on the 4th and 5th floors. It has a wide variety of dishes, including lunch and dinner (I stayed in a hotel these days and had breakfast at the hotel). There are small dishes, pasta, stir-fries, and Guokui, Duck Blood Fans... I feel like there is definitely one that can meet the needs of students from different places. Breakfast is free, as is dinner with midnight snack coupons. For lunch, if you pay with an electronic work card, you will go through the WeChat payment process. The price is relatively reasonable, one meat, one vegetable, one soup and one fruit only costs less than 15 yuan, and a beef noodle dish only costs about 20 yuan.

There are also places for leisure and entertainment. Because I have the habit of exercising, I explored the place of exercise myself when I came to Tencent. In Binhai Building, the leisure and entertainment area is from the 22nd to the 25th floor. There are many categories. There is a gym. The gym has some common fitness equipment (basically I also used a treadmill?), including table tennis, billiards, and badminton. And venues, there are basketball courts, running tracks, psychological consultation rooms, physical therapy rooms...

Then there are working conditions. The first is a work computer. The one provided is a MacBook Pro. I will post the configuration.

There is also a large screen, so I won’t post it. Anyway, it’s big enough.

The second is the working environment. My office is on the 17th floor. My overall feeling is that it is very spacious and atmospheric. It is absolutely comfortable to work in such an environment.

The third is colleagues, in a word, good. The good thing? Fortunately, our interpersonal relationships are simple, we are warm-hearted, and we have strong professional skills.

Continuously updating...

Damn it, a PCG student who has been employed for three months can receive a Huawei Mate Xs folding screen mobile phone today. The price on JD.com is around 18,000, and many people have changed hands and sold it through forums. It seems that those who are less than three months old only receive random red envelopes. I joined the company on the 25th, and the red envelope push will not be available until October 20th. ?. Envy.
