Mengzhui Bay is a place name in Chengdu. The Fu River goes eastward from Wanfu Bridge and passes through Qingyuan Bridge (later named Yingen Bridge and Daan Bridge, equivalent to the location of Bridge No. 1 today) and turns southward. It is called Mengzhui Bay. Legend has it that Zhang Xianzhong rebelled against the armed forces and was chased by the monks of Daci Temple, so it got its name.
