What are the old rules of the Song Dynasty officialdom that have not been violated for more than 300 years?

The second rule is not to ask people and officials from all directions for local specialties. This provision may be to prevent officials from corrupting and forming a gift-giving atmosphere, but there was an exception during the Song Renzong period. At that time, Song Renzong was ill, and the queen wanted to find the bad white fish in Jianghuai to mend her body, but she couldn't find it all over Beijing, so she had to let an official from her hometown bring it here. When Song Renzong found out, she scolded the queen, but the reason was understandable, so it passed.

The third regulation, which I think is an important step to promote the development of the Song Dynasty, is that officials cannot impeach those literati and those who criticize the court, nor can they kill them, so as to form a clean atmosphere. The atmosphere in the Song Dynasty was so positive that even the emperor could not disobey this order. Su Dongpo survived because of this rule, because he criticized the court at that time. At that time, Emperor Song Shenzong was very angry and wanted to kill him, but he suddenly remembered this ancestral proverb and let Su Dongpo go.
