Sea Blue: Hello, Mr. Li, the yacht has been established for more than 10 years. Can you briefly introduce the current situation in Peng Jie?

Li Chunqiang: At present, the main business of Peng Jie Yacht includes six sectors: manufacturing, sales, after-sales custody, driver's license training, club operation and terminal operation management. Peng Jie yacht sales network has 10 branches all over the country; Yacht driving school has trained more than 1000 students nationwide; In terms of clubs, this year we launched a new sea fishing business, mainly for the middle class, and created a membership service model similar to Golf Pacific Card, allowing users to use yachts at a cheaper price.

At present, the terminal operation mainly covers Qinhuangdao, Zhejiang and Hainan, and will gradually expand to more places in the future, striving to be similar to intercontinental hotels. The terminal was built by a real estate developer, and Peng Jie was responsible for its operation and management. In terms of manufacturing, Peng Jie Yacht will further expand its scale, strive to build a yacht industry creative park covering an area of 80 mu in Zhuhai, and plan the functional layout integrating yacht exhibition center, manufacturing, clubhouse, training, cultural center, theme hotel and wharf to create a brand-new yacht industry IP!

Hailan: Peng Jie Yacht started as an agent. Why did you turn to the development of the whole industry chain?

Li Chunqiang: Instead of turning to the development of the whole industrial chain, it is better to let nature take its course. In 2009, due to a novel experience, I ordered my first yacht and had the idea of selling yachts as an agent, so I founded Peng Jie Yacht. When Peng Jie was founded, it only had sales business, but the demand of customers and the market for yacht customization, custody, training, leasing and operation prompted us to develop these businesses step by step.

Blue of the Sea: What are the advantages and disadvantages of the development of the whole industrial chain compared with a single format?

Li Chunqiang: The development of the whole industrial chain has two advantages. On the one hand, it can share the operating costs. For example, ships produced by shipyards can be sold to customers, and can also be used for leasing or driving school training. In addition, multi-business development can provide stable income and further share operational risks. In 2009- 13, Peng Jie's profit mainly came from yacht sales, but in 2006-5438+04- 19, with the changes of policies and markets, yacht sales declined, making it difficult for many single sales enterprises to survive. However, the increasingly hot yacht leasing and driving training enable Peng Jie to ensure the normal operation of enterprises.

Secondly, we can get customer and market feedback information in time and better understand industry information. Shipyards can reflect on how to improve yacht quality through the market demand and customer experience feedback of sales and after-sales personnel; Yacht terminal construction and club operation can also more accurately locate the number and function of berths that the terminal should plan. Without accurate market information and the support of the whole industry chain team, it is difficult to operate, let alone make a profit.

Of course, there are shortcomings in the development of the entire industrial chain, mainly because too much investment will limit the capital chain. At present, the development of China's yacht industry is still in a relatively primary stage. In the future, with the development of the market, we will focus on it and make constant adjustments.

Hailan: You personally experienced and witnessed the development of China's yacht industry in 10. What do you think of the current situation of Chinese yacht industry?

Li Chunqiang: First of all, we are very optimistic about the prospect of China's yacht industry, and people's concept of yacht has gradually changed from high-end luxury goods to popularization. Everyone is familiar with yachts and willing to try, so the yacht rental market is developing slowly. However, there are still many shortcomings in the development of yacht industry at present, and there are still some restrictions on policies and infrastructure, especially the construction of public docks, but this is a twist that every industry will encounter in the development process.

Hailan: In view of the current situation, where do you think the yacht industry in China should develop?

Li Chunqiang: I often advocate that the government should decompress more, enterprises should work harder and consumers should be more tolerant. The government should not have too much responsibility pressure and dare not let go. How does the industry develop? Enterprises must strive to do a good job in the industry and do it on a large scale in order to get enough attention from the government. With the government's attention, the policy will naturally tilt towards the industry. Consumers should also give more tolerance to the industry. After all, there are many people who eat melons now, and a small matter may have a great negative impact, just like the social effects that sports car accidents and QQ accidents may cause are completely different. So I don't think we should start from one aspect alone, and it is more likely to be the whole social form.

Hailan: Many people think that the lack of public docks has affected the development of the industry. What do you think of this?

Li Chunqiang: It is good to have more docks, but it costs a lot of money to build docks, so it is unrealistic for the government to blindly build public docks. As mentioned above, if the industry reaches a certain volume or has a clear direction, I believe the government will definitely build it. At present, the most realistic way is to use the existing resources of society to let real estate developers and private enterprises build docks first, and more docks will gradually guide the development of the industry.

Of course, the best public pier construction will boost the development of the industry, but it is by no means the only factor limiting the development of the industry. Besides, public piers should not be flooded at once. On the one hand, from the marketing point of view, there is no ship docked after the terminal is completed, which may bring negative signals to the society; On the other hand, the supply of wharf construction should be calculated reasonably according to the market demand and adjusted at any time, which can reduce the construction cost.

Sea Blue: You are familiar with Xiamen, Sanya and Shenzhen. Can you tell me what's the difference between the yacht industry in these three cities?

Li Chunqiang: The yacht industry in these three cities has its own characteristics. The yacht industry should have the earliest and fastest development in Shenzhen, which benefits from its geographical advantages close to Hong Kong and is influenced by Hong Kong culture. On the other hand, Xiamen has received more support from the government. Sailing tourism and experience started earlier and developed rapidly. Sanya's natural environment is even more unique. Combined with the international tourist island in those days and the current free trade port policy, it greatly boosted the development of yacht industry in Sanya. In the future, the size of Sanya yacht industry should not be underestimated. However, the yacht industry in each city will also be affected by geographical conditions and policies. The most obvious example is that yachts in Sanya were opened to sea for the first time after the epidemic this year, but Xiamen has not been fully opened so far! (Good news: Before the National Day, Xiamen finally started to resume flights! )

Blue of the Sea: In recent years, Hainan has introduced many yacht industry support policies. In retrospect, what do you think of the effect?

Li Chunqiang: Many people feel that they have not seen any substantive measures, but in fact, policies are better than nothing, which at least shows that the government will give all ideological support and bring confidence to the yacht industry. As for the speed of implementation, there are many reasons, such as policies and regulations. In some places, the policies are different from the laws and regulations of the Ministry of Communications, and there will be many obstacles in the actual landing process. Therefore, we should also give the government more time and tolerance.

Haizhilan: As the president of Sanya Yacht Sailing Association, can you talk about the role of trade associations in the development of yacht industry?

Li Chunqiang: Trade associations are more of a bridge. The association itself has no law enforcement power, but because the government is not in the front line of the market, it is difficult to obtain accurate market information and data. At this time, the association can feed back the information of the industry and member units to the government, so that the government will not be too extensive or lack of pertinence when introducing policies. Of course, the association should play an intermediate role as much as possible and should not take sides.

In the future, I hope that the platform of the association will gradually get the attention of the government, and even delegate some authority to the association, so that the association can bear part of the guarantee responsibility. After all, the government is most worried about the issue of security responsibility. If only the government does it, it will easily become a blunt law enforcement act, but if there is an association to make the transition, it may be softer.

Blue of the Sea: The development of yacht industry has not reached the expectations of most insiders. Do you think this has something to do with the exaggerated mentality of the industry? In addition, we all know that talents will restrict the development of the industry. What are the specific aspects of yacht industry?

Li Chunqiang: Yachts are emerging industries, especially yachts are imported and need to be precipitated. Exaggeration or quick success, if you are lucky, you may get a business, but it is difficult to get real development. There is a very contradictory problem about talents in reality. Yacht industry, after all, is a high-end service industry and needs high-quality service talents. But when they feel that the pay is not proportional to the return, these talents are easily out of touch and new people have to be re-trained. This cannot be solved in a year or two.

Only when the industry develops well will more talents stay. If the industry does not develop well, some people will doubt whether their choices are correct. On the other hand, good people want to develop in the yacht industry. In addition to professional ability, you really need to have some feelings about the yacht industry in order to slowly precipitate yourself in the development of the industry and truly achieve yourself!

Hailan: During the Spring Festival, the epidemic situation in COVID-19 has a very wide impact. In your opinion, what impact will this epidemic have on the industry? How is the recovery now?

Li Chunqiang: The epidemic has an impact on all walks of life, but it also depends on the specific extent. For example, the popularity of the catering industry has the most obvious impact, while high-end catering has little impact. As for the yacht leasing industry, initially affected by the epidemic, many leasing agencies struggled when the navigation was completely banned, but after the epidemic was effectively controlled, Sanya yacht leasing rebounded in retaliation. High-end yacht trading, although there are still some customers, is also affected. After all, the basic market is relatively small.

Recovery needs a process, but now no one can say for sure, and the impact of the epidemic (especially internationally) has not been fully demonstrated. Of course, crises are often accompanied by some business opportunities, and enterprises must adjust their pace in time if they want to survive. Our new membership service model and taking this opportunity to further expand the scale of the factory are all new attempts.

Hailan: The overall plan of Hainan Free Trade Port was released, and a zero tariff policy was implemented for imported yachts. In your opinion, what impact will this have on domestic yachts? How will zypern yacht respond to this?

Li Chunqiang: I think zero tariff is actually a good thing. Domestic yachts will be affected, but not very much, and may also have a certain boost. There are three main reasons:

Regarding the influence of tariff policy, Peng Jie is well aware of what it should do, and adjusts its pace at any time according to the policy, including introducing sea fishing members, further expanding the scale of the factory, integrating better resources and so on. At the same time, in view of the policy of Hainan Free Trade Port, Peng Jie has begun to carry out a deeper industrial layout, and it is not convenient to disclose it now. We can look forward to it.
