How to buy a train ticket in Spain

Some people will choose to go to Spain by train or high-speed rail, so how to buy tickets online is also a problem worth thinking about. Now Bian Xiao will tell you something about driving in Spain.

Buying train tickets online In order to ensure a foolproof trip, I decided not to go to the train station to buy tickets and book high-speed rail tickets on the website in advance. In fact, due to the network and payment, my reservation is not smooth. I tried several ways to buy tickets, and finally I chose the one that can be paid successfully. I'll share several methods with you.

1, RENFE official website reservation, point-to-point

If you book a train ticket in official website 62 days in advance, you will get a big discount. But now the visa is only 1 month, so I can only look at the air ticket first.

Step 1: When you log in to www.renfe.com, you can click on the language on the webpage to translate Spanish into English. Then, enter your departure station, destination station, departure time and number of people on the left side of the homepage. There may be several railway stations in a city. If you are not sure which train station is the main station, you can look at the passenger flow in the previous floors.

Step 2: Choose a point-to-point ticket according to your own time. Tickets will pop up on the website for a period of time. You can see if there are any prices and train running time that you can accept during this period. There will be some selection buttons under each train, and you can click on the ordinary car or the advanced car (of course, you can see the difference from the price of the ordinary car). If there is a W sign, it is an online ticket, and it is a special ticket with a high discount. There are not many seats. Be optimistic and get started. If there is a yellow star pattern, it is a 60% discount ticket. If you can't book a 40% discount ticket, you can choose this one. In addition, there is a blue sign, which is a group discount ticket for four people.

Step 3: After selecting the ticket, click Next, and an interface will appear, asking you to fill in your personal information. Remember to leave your passport number, name, nationality and email number. After the payment is successful, an email will be sent to your mailbox and a PDF version of the ticket will be printed out.

Step 4: On the contrary, the most difficult step is payment. You can't climb the wall with VISA, and you can't even associate with UnionPay cards by registering Paypal. After many twists and turns, I still go somewhere else to buy it.

If you don't know Spanish like me, believe me, there is nothing that Google Translation can't handle!

2, the train station ticket guide

After purchasing tickets online, you can print your own tickets without changing them separately. With the reservation code given when booking online or the bank card used for payment, you can also pick up the ticket at the automatic ticket checking machine (which is commonly available at railway stations). After the exam, you can get on the bus with your printed ticket, and you usually have to check in when you get on the bus.

First choose "Emisióndebilletes".

Then insert the bank card used for booking or enter the confirmation code "localizador".

Click "Aceptar" to print the ticket.

If you accidentally choose the wrong one, click "Volver" to go back to the previous step.

Free transfer CombinadoCercanias: With the password on the train ticket, you can transfer for free within 3 hours before the train leaves and 3 hours after arriving at the destination. Pick up the ticket at the automatic ticket vending machine in Cercanías station or through the manual ticket window (or you can scan the bar code on the machine by yourself with a bar code reading device), and then take Cercanías by ticket. In a station without ticket vending machines and windows, you can show it to the ticket inspector after getting on the bus or to the station staff before leaving the station. You must hold two tickets at the same time (the ticket that Cercanías exchanged with the password and the train ticket that you hold).

Change tickets on the self-service machine: select CombinadoCercanias, enter the password and get tickets. Don't lose your ticket before leaving the station, it will be checked.

3, RENFE official website booking, Spanish pass.

Although it was unsuccessful to buy it at RENFE, I tried it many times at that time. If you buy a point-to-point ticket, there will be no special ticket. The ticket from Barcelona to Madrid alone costs 75 euros. I calculated that it is more economical to take at least three high-speed trains or to take a train through Spain. The total price is only 195 euros. The method of purchasing tickets is basically the same as what I just said. The only thing is to overcome the problem of payment.

4. European railway tickets

Buying a European train ticket is also a mistake. I was devastated when I paid in official website and Spain. I held my breath and felt that I must finish this thing today. So I looked to see if there was a train pass sold by the agent, so I found it: Spain through train pass (domestic postage). As a result, I didn't expect to get a European railway ticket (Spain) after my generous payment!

But there are also surprises. I booked a two-stop pass. After 20 minutes, the customer service girl called me and said that traveling together could get a 20% discount. It saved me 650 yuan this time! But I'm too happy. I found that it costs 4 euros to book a seat if I take a high-speed rail ticket! If you count this, RENFE is absolutely cheap.

I was about to leave, but I didn't care about the gains and losses. At that time, I just wanted to get the train ticket smoothly, so I booked it online with Eurorail. First, this webpage came out:/Eurail China Ticket Office. Then I found out that this is not official website, but an agent. However, the charge is reasonable, and I want to book it if I have Chinese customer service. I didn't expect this website to be so unreliable that some trains couldn't be brushed out at all. I called the customer service, and their attitude was quite good, but they told me that this was a network problem and that there was nothing to refresh.

I really didn't have the patience to refresh every day, so I finally found an agent to reserve a pass seat. It's quite reliable, and it also charges some fees, but the network is stable and there is Chinese customer service. After booking, they sent me the reserved plane ticket, and I went to Spain with my pass.

5, the use of passing method

Although it was unsuccessful to buy it at RENFE, I tried it many times at that time. If you buy a point-to-point ticket, there will be no special ticket. The ticket from Barcelona to Madrid alone costs 75 euros. I calculated that it is more economical to take at least three high-speed trains or to take a train through Spain. The total price is only 195 euros. The method of purchasing tickets is basically the same as what I just said. The only thing is to overcome the problem of payment.

Note on self-driving: My trip is based on three cities, and domestic transportation is by high-speed rail, which makes me feel very convenient and worry-free. Of course, there will be many friends who like to drive freely. My friend who went with me chose to drive by car and gave me a lot of information about driving after returning home.

1, ID: When renting a car, you can directly use the English version of the new China driver's license, or you can bring your public ID in English or Spanish. If there are more than two drivers, you must explain when you go through the formalities of renting a car, otherwise the insurance company can be exempted from liability in case of an accident. Some taxi companies may charge a "second child driver" fee.

2, GPS and insurance: If you have a navigator with a map of Europe or a mobile phone GPS, you can use it. Google Maps is absolutely enough. My friend uses Google Maps to navigate the whole journey. Insurance: It is recommended to choose an agreement that includes all risks.

3. Driving habits: Drive on the left and drive on the right, just like the driving habits in China. Expressway speed limit between cities 120km. Although there are no cameras and few police officers, it is still recommended not to exceed the speed limit. The scenery is beautiful all the way, and it is free to stop and go.

4. High-speed fee: In the area north of Madrid, high-speed fee is required. The high-speed fare from Barcelona to segovia is almost 40 euros. The Andalusian region is free of high-speed fees.

Expressway's speed limit regulations: expressway 120km/h, main road 100km/h, secondary road 90km/h and urban area 50km/h. ..

Highway mileage:

Seville-Madrid: 535 kilometers.

Seville-Barcelona: 100 1 km.

Seville-Granada: 250 kilometers.

Seville-Có rdoba: 144 km

5, parking fee: parking in the urban area, you need to stop at the designated location with P, the parking lot in the scenic spot is not easy to find and not close to the scenic spot. Generally, after you get off the bus, there is a payment machine next to you, which is between 1-2 Euros per hour, and it will be cheaper to stop for one day, between 10-20 Euros. You can usually pay by coin or credit card. Remember, when booking a hotel, you can choose to provide free parking space. It is suggested that when you arrive in the city, park your car in the hotel and use public transportation for sightseeing. You should also be careful not to park in the disabled parking space, you will be severely punished!

6. Refueling: There are obvious gas station signs on both sides of expressway. There are two ways, one is full self-help and the other is semi-self-help. Full self-service is a credit card operation. Remember to use the chip VISA card or MASTER. Then choose gasoline or diesel oil, which is divided into diesel oil, gazole, 95 and other varieties. When you park the car, insert the card first (it must be a chip card), and then follow the prompts until the refueling is completed. Semi-self-help means filling the tanker first, then telling the clerk at the cashier which machine you added, and then paying in the store, or paying the staff to unlock the tanker first. If you drive, you must refuel in time. Small villages and towns, you may not find a gas station on the road.

7. If you have tickets, you'd better pay them on the spot in Spain. If you send a notice letter to the car rental company after returning home, the car rental company will usually help you with it. (There is a handling fee) Charge by credit card. If the car rental company doesn't handle it for you, it will also inform you. You can try to pay online.

8, Spanish road conditions, driving on the expressway is very comfortable. After entering the city, we should pay attention to the narrow and undulating roads and narrow alleys in most cities in Spain, so cars may not be able to drive in.

The old city of Seville is not suitable for driving at all. Our friend drove into Seville from 1 1, circled several times and couldn't stop. Then he stopped in a parking lot with many roads away from the old city and didn't go to bed until 1 am.

Barcelona is also not very friendly to motorists. There are many one-way streets, and parking is difficult, but there are many red lights.
