Indira Gandhi International Airport mainly serves the capital New Delhi, and is located 23km (14 mile) south of New Delhi, India. It is the main airport in the country and the second busiest airport in South Asia. The airport was managed by the Indian Air Force and barham Airport until it was handed over to the Airport Authority of India.
