The lobular rosewood is red on the first day, but not much on the second day. Is it fake?

The lobular rosewood cannot be judged by this alone. It's normal to fall in love. The more you get, the less you get. It should be the real thing.

Often referred to as lobular rosewood, generally refers to Indian lobular rosewood, scientific name sandalwood rosewood, and the identification of authenticity mainly depends on the following aspects:

1. Weighing weight: Pterocarya microphylla has a high density, and its air-dried density is 1.05- 1.26 g/cm3. It feels heavy and sinks when you enter the water. If it is a rosewood bracelet, the standard size is 1.5cm, and the weight of the bracelet with 15 beads is about 28-34g. 1.8cm diameter, 13 beads, weighing about 42-50g；; 2.0cm in diameter 12 and weighing about 56-65g. This does not include the weight of Buddha's head and disciple's beads. For some scar materials, the weight is greater, and 2.0 may exceed 72 grams or even higher;

2, look at the color: the newly made bracelets or cut materials are orange or bright red in color. After being placed or played for a period of time, it turns purple or purple-black, with light color or purple-black stripes;

3, scratches: scratches on white paper or white walls can leave obvious purple scratches;

4, smell: there is a slight fragrance, generally not obvious, when sawing wood, it will emit a slight fragrance;

5. Texture: tangential section and vertical section, it can be seen that the texture is staggered, partially curled and twisted, the conduit is faintly visible, and the tube hole is thin and curved like cow hair, which is called "cow hair pattern". This is a new material, and the old rosewood is golden. The more gold stars there are, the higher the value. The cross section looks like brown eyes, and the old material is Venus; Note that the chicken blood rosewood in rosewood does not have the characteristics of Venus and cow hair.

Of course, in addition to the common cow hair patterns, gold and gold stars, there are also flame patterns, fish scales and scars. The rarer the pattern, the higher the price.

6. Alcohol immersion: Strictly speaking, this is a destructive test. This method is generally not recommended. Never soak the whole object in alcohol. When you are really in doubt, you can try. You can only scrape crumbs from the corners and put them in high-alcohol liquor. You can see a misty purple ribbon at once, which is not easy to spread out, but it will still spread out as time goes by, and the crumbs will be soaked in water for several hours, indicating that the upper water will be fluorescent.
