Can I get compensation for being bitten by a bug in a hotel?

If you are bitten by a bug in the hotel, you can get compensation. You can ask the other party to pay medical expenses, lost time and other expenses because the hotel has no obligation to enter the safety guarantee and the accommodation environment is not up to standard.

If a guest stays in a hotel and is bitten by mites or other insects on the hotel sheets, he can keep the evidence and ask the hotel to compensate for the loss.

Under normal circumstances, it is three times the room rate as the compensation standard.

1. If the guest, as a consumer, causes personal injury to the consumer or other victims, it shall compensate the reasonable expenses for treatment and rehabilitation such as medical expenses, nursing expenses and transportation expenses, as well as the income reduced due to absenteeism.

2. If guests are bitten by mites because of the use of foreign sheets in the hotel, the hotel, as a security obligor, has the security obligation. If damage is caused by infringement by a third party, the infringing third party shall be liable for compensation. If the guest is a consumer, causing personal injury to the consumer, the hotel shall compensate the reasonable expenses of medical treatment, nursing expenses, transportation expenses and other expenses, as well as the income reduced due to missed work.

It is suggested that you can complain to the hotel customer service department or to the health department.
