Xinjiang has a vast territory and a special geographical position, and the temperature difference in different areas is relatively large in the morning and evening. The air conditioner in the car is also a hot air conditioner for a while and a warm air conditioner for a while, which is not bad. So in order to reduce the weight of luggage, I suggest you:

The sun is a little poisonous during the day, so these preparations are enough. There is no need to wear pants as much as possible to reduce exposed skin. We've seen giant mosquitoes, and I don't think mosquito repellent or anything can handle them. We brought sleeping bags and other things, but it was useless. Perhaps the tourism industry has been developing and maturing in recent years, and it is far from the time when bedding was not changed many years ago. (The situation in particularly remote counties and cities is unknown.

2. Vehicle supplies

This time, the other three partners, led by coach mud, decided to rent Prado. Although it is a little difficult for me to drive, the vehicle has sufficient space and stable performance, which is very helpful for dealing with highways and county roads in Xinjiang.

Suni and Mei Zi both have the experience of driving by car in the northwest, and they also told everyone to take a small suitcase as much as possible before leaving. So the four of us are basically a small suitcase+backpack, the trunk is more than enough, and we can also put a box of water, snacks and other things. Two people in the back row+sundries. Basically very comfortable.

Among them, Prado performed very well in dealing with the most difficult road sections with dust and mud stones and small incidents of car skidding. In cities in Xinjiang, such as Urumqi, I see that the proportion of similar large cars can account for about 50%, which is definitely necessary.

As for refueling and other issues, we traveled nearly 3,000 kilometers in 7 days by car and refueled 4 times. Both Suni and Xinxin are good at calculating the amount of oil, and we have never encountered an oil crisis all the way.

3. Food (dry food)

Our mistake was that we didn't bring delicious naan when we set out from Urumqi (we thought it was easy to buy all the way, but in fact, this kind of dry food is quite necessary for long-distance self-driving. It is recommended to bring delicious freshly baked naan (you can also experience subtle changes in taste, and a box of water every day. Friends who need coffee to continue their lives must bring lifting ears or stock solution, otherwise they can only buy bottled coffee drinks in the supermarket, which is still very different, right?

You don't need to bring self-help pots and instant noodles, you can basically buy them directly through the service area. But if you come across this brand, you can prepare some. It is really delicious!

Only expressway has a service area, but few restaurants are open in the service area; There may be a restaurant on the road, but the taste is very bad, so it is not recommended that you just expect to get on and off for dinner. We can bring some other snacks. A few of us had some messy snacks, such as Italian food, rice and crispy rice. After eating all the way, we should have wasted some in the end. Fruit is not recommended, cantaloupe can't be put down, it tastes very heavy and can be bought and eaten.

4. Public safety goods

Before leaving, I was threatened and warned by my family and friends, saying how unsafe Xinjiang was, and so on, citing many examples. The four of us are still a little nervous. But I didn't feel uneasy at all along the way. There are many checkpoints on the road, and the hotel service is basically ok. In the middle of the night, the owner of the homestay in Zhaosu also drove us to Korla and other bigger cities to do nucleic acid, just like in mainland cities. Of course, this may also be related to the route we take. In short, it is basically possible for everyone to act collectively and arrange accommodation at night in advance.

In addition, there is a nucleic acid test. You don't need to do it in advance, because Xinjiang basically only recognizes the nucleic acids made in the local area within 3 days, and some counties and cities don't recognize each other. Just go to the local area and do the testing according to local requirements. Bring the nucleic acid record sheet.

5. Girls' special care products

The four of us are lucky this time, and all three of our friends are fine. Only I had my period on the sixth day. There is a service area on expressway (similar to Lianhuo's). It's no problem to go to the toilet, but there are few service areas in expressway or some expressway (such as Tuhe Expressway). Occasionally, there is a simple toilet for parking, but I have been there once and never been there again. Don't! Let's go Foot! Therefore, it is recommended that female friends try to avoid menstrual period. If it's really unfortunate, they just relax their pants or something, and there's nothing they can do. But think about it, if you are in the menstrual period all the time, it is really a heinous crime. You have to sit in the car for seven or eight hours a day, and you won't have a bathroom at any time when you go to some scenic spots and grasslands.
